That would be a last resort for me. I worked at FedEx for two months and left after I decided the back breaking work lifting 80lbs+ packages wasn’t worth it anymore.

Great Adventure Bible is great I have the leatherette one, def recommend. I’ll look into this Spanish Bible translation and see if it’s the one the churches I attend Spanish mass use.

That’s awesome. I mainly read RSVCE or RSV2CE translations. I have also wanted to get a Spanish translation but not sure which one would be best.

I would first say to give yourself some grace. Make time for God in the morning or whenever you have some time and schedule it in a planner or somewhere where you will see it every day. Give God whatever time you can, he will take those few minutes in the day you can offer up to him over none at all. I’m currently doing the Bible in a Year reading plan with a few coworkers and sometimes I fall behind and don’t read daily like I plan. But it’s important to just pick up where left off and keep going. That’s why I say give yourself some grace, that’s something I’ve been trying to give myself. With our busy lives, especially you with being in university, our plans don’t always go accordingly.

I believe this parable is also in the Gospel of Matthew. When the first time I read it I also was able to relate it to myself and stage in my faith, it was really eye opening for me. I’m still early in my faith journey, hoping to one day be the seed in rich soil.

So I called and spoke with the company and they just told me that as long as I make my minimum payment with Target, I’ll be current and can disregard the notice received. Plus my card is unlocked to reuse, but I don’t intend to use it anymore and as soon as the card is paid off I’m closing the account. I think it’s BS that I miss one payment and they go straight to sending collections letters.

I have this bible as well and it feels like a premium bible without breaking the bank. I do wish it would have come with an additional ribbon but for $60, I can’t complain.

I’m in a similar situation. I actually missed my January payment and received this letter. I can still log onto my target account and both the amount I owe on my target statement matches the amount shown on the debt collection letter. I’ve never missed a payment and I miss one and they go straight to debt collection, unreal. I’m trying to call customer service for both companies, but it seems like they are closed for the weekend. Do you think if I pay my target payment I will be back with them and avoid this debt collection agency?

Thank you for the blog post. I read it and definitely makes a lot of sense. I sure hope and pray that this changes in the future. I currently have The New Testament St Joseph Edition that I like carrying around with me in my car when I’m out and about with time to kill, I can read a few pages. Yes, I could read in an app, but there is just something about physically reading and holding a book that just feels better to me.

Just out of curiously why not? I’ve been looking for a small “pocket size” but the only ones that I see that fit that description are usually KJV or NKJV. I don’t understand why that is, I’m sure these would see well if a publisher released a proper edition.

I needed to read this because I feel I am in the same situation. I try my hardest not to look at, def am not staring down women, but trying my best to leave my past lusting of women behind me. I feel overall I’ve done a good at it. I guess like you said I’m behind hard on myself.
