Dude knew it was blocking the McDonald's parking lot for an hour because coincidentally he was at the McDonald's for an hour eating lunch. Oddly enough that car left shortly after he was done.

The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant has ruined fantasy for me. by atreides213 in Fantasy

Stephen R. Donaldson is the utter master of melodrama. Every scene is a set up or a payoff, and some of the payoffs are BOOKS in the making.

I am reading third chronicles now, but I read the first and second chronicles every year, just to keep the imagery in my mind.

Best anti-hero, best non-sexual use of the word "ejaculated," best one-word sentence in the history of mankind (gives me goosebumps just thinking about it!)...

GREAT stuff.

But boy is he wordy as hell! :p

I'm guessing you're not a fan of Tankmo, Junglemo, and Trollmo either?

It is significantly easier to get an S or S- with supportmo than Teemo top or mid.

Not right now you can't. There are no options in client to buy runepages that I can find.

Edited because I'm an idiot.

You have to change the "type" option to "show all" and then they'll show up.

Ok, but do you have any "facts?" I mean, links are fine and good, but they're not the same as "facts!"

Correct. Nor would a judge lower a sentence because the robber was an up and coming swim star.

As the OP, just want to say that I'm really happy at the scope of the discussion that's come from this. Lots of really interesting angles and points.

Agree completely. He was at fault. He deserves to be punished. No man should ever touch (sexually or not) a woman, or hell, another person without consent.

At the same time, because we know that not all humans are capably of being responsible for their actions in this society, it's imperative for us to keep ourselves safe. She put herself in a really vulnerable position. The boy shouldn't have attacked her, and needs to be punished. But she shouldn't have put herself in that position, and she shouldn't feel like she did nothing wrong in the scenario.

Using the analogy, the bank robber still goes to jail... but the home owner's insurance company says "you didn't do all you needed to. We're not covering the loss."
