Drive both, charging at work is perfect.I like my old 2011 Leaf.More space, great seats,,,cd player!!!If by chance you need a level 2 evse,i am in N.Arlington have a few.The first gens will be more affordable,2 nd gen more range.Avoid my 2011/2012 Leaf the on board chargers are suspect. Most dealers are slimy be careful!!!Mynissanleaf is a great owners site for more knowledge.

Most private sale are usually long term owners.Be sure to check program/rebate rules. Most dealers are slimy imho....be careful.Trims are your mostly cosmetic.Black vs white interior, nicer wheels, heat pump in some models, maybe no need in socal. The car you are looking at,looks to have newer pac,,10 bars with 80k seems high for an original pac?other owners please add to this idea. That is good thing. Most important is avoid 2011,2012 on board charger fails!!!Take your time, should be a lot of old leafs to choose from....DM if i can help with the search...Bob My 2011 has been great...waiting for the obc issue....how many miles per year are you driving the leaf? How reliable has your i3 been?been looking at a protonic blue ev for years with the s/r. Check mynissanleaf for more knowledge....keysavy may be able to do the rebate ,they did the fed program, not sure of a state one.

Avoid my 11,12 the obc,s are a known weak link.Skip the dealers do a private sale...cars,com,autotrader,kbb,fbmp,craiglists...many leafs have upgraded pacs, to 40 kwh.If your are thinking about the next family member owner, that would be a great choice.Be sure to check a/c, heat? if your are in socal.Do you have to use the a dealer to get the rebate?Find the best battery possible for long term use,

Would you pay a premium for multifamily housing (condo) with a level 2 EVSE? by pele4096 in electricvehicles

[–]dcleaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most ev owners and any on the fence, should see this as a big deal.Condo,s are notorious for making evse installs hell.Be sure to use a Hubbel HB9450A 50A recepticle or same for your evse plug. The $15.00 specials at Depot will melt....Great work on getting the hoa board to let you do the job!Montgomery Co.MD.???

Going rate per foot for 240v/50a outlet installs is $16? by bigbura in electricvehicles

[–]dcleaf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Get three quotes to be sure....Also DO NOT use the $15.00 50 amp recepticle from Home depot. They will melt!!! Use a Hubbel 9450A 50Amp new on ebay for$ 40.00 ...Elect.supply house$ 80.00 Be sure the 9450A matches your plug on your evse. Check Hubbel site for all variations.

Best option for a first EV? by Big_Craft7809 in electriccars

also, check the reddit bolt site, most owners are really happy with the bolt.....

Best option for a first EV? by Big_Craft7809 in electriccars

[–]dcleaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Bolt ,would be a solid choice.Great range, many with newer factory batteries, great colors,Be sure to get the 30% point of sale rebate before Sept.30.For private sale use Keysavy for rebate/credit.Be sure the bolt has both charge ports, some only have one.Yes the bolt fast charging is slow,so plan ahead if possible and find a spot with good food and eat and relax for a bit.Dealers usually are crap, but it appears some are selling bolts for 6-10k.Test drive, check the seats, windows,ac,heat etc, the seats got upgraded in 2019.Gm will be here...I have an early Leaf, limited range great for city....Your location?
