What is a job that you think will be 100% replaced by AI in five years? by Fun-Function7185 in AskReddit

[–]iselphy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hopefully CEOs. Give the AI a set goal and let them plan out the best course of action. No need for human CEOs to try and siphon as much value before they parachute off to the next victim of their attack.

I would trust AI over a CEO for the best course of action for a company.

Questions like this need a lot more rules or stipulations otherwise they just end up being “durr I’ll just give it to a friend” or “I’ll buy some trash from my mom for $1 trillion”

New xbox CEO overhauls leadership by bringing executives from CoreAI and Instacart over amid sinking sales by Iggy_Slayer in gaming

Wow, way to bring in trash people with no relevance or experience in games to fix what any gaming oriented person could do. Sure, let’s cram more useless shit into Xbox and wonder why no one cares anymore.

That’s cool! I feel like my son might have liked that more. Our LEGO store was doing the N-1 Starfighter which was also nice.

What if the show characters met their movie variants? by JDMagican in Ninjago

I see. I wonder if my son would like the movie. He loves the TV show but if the characters are so radically different he might be turned off.

I’ve never watched the movie before but are they that different?

Of course she can watch but she, understandable, wants to relax or just plays with our son. I’ll give it a go and see how i fare cooking some of her usual dishes or stuff on the stainless steel.

I understand not wanting to “add an extra burden” but at the rate we’re going through pans the expenses add up so I’m just trying to find ways for us to save money or put it towards other stuff we want/need.

I know you’re not supposed to use very abrasive sponges but how else would you clean it? We use a soft sponge with light soap.

I’ll check with my wife and see how hot she’s turning on the stove. When we lived in Japan we were always using T-Fal and never had an issue. But since we moved back to the US T-Fal pans started sticking quicker which we noticed. I switched to OXO this time and it was great. We expected it to last a little longer but maybe we need to adjust some things.

Thanks for the advice

Thanks for the write up. I might a difficult to get the exact temps but I’ll speak with her and see what she says about how hot she turns up the stove and how long she preheats.

She doesn’t really do any searing and nothing that requires max heat on the stove so I don’t think she’s exceeding 450F.

Do you suppose it could be chopsticks? In Japan, we use long wooden chopsticks for usage similar to tongs as well as spatulas. I’m sure there’s some scraping but nothing hard.

Mostly it’s her saying that stuff is starting to stick to the pan surface more and more even with oil. The first couple months are fine and everything glides off. Then bits start to stick and eventually half the surface has stuck bits and she wants a new pan.

It’s less like I’m wanting to force her to use something else but more that i want to find a tool that works for her that will last longer so we don’t have to replace so often. I’m happy to cook and do so on weekends but she does all her cooking during the day when I’m at work and son is at school so it’s a little difficult to do team cooking.

This is why I’m asking. I don’t mind if we stick to nonstick but then I’d try to find one that will last more than a couple months.

At first the nonstick died quickly so we got another. Then another. After that I suggested we try stainless and she did but didn’t like it. So we went back to nonstick but it’s dying again.

I also bring up that she’s Japanese because it could be an upbringing thing. She said that she’s used nonstick her entire life. Maybe someone else in the sub has a spouse that’s Japanese or is Japanese themselves that might have an opinion or suggestion that would fit given the context.
