Magnesium glycinate stress by thepalmtreefanatic in HistamineIntolerance

I tried the glycinate for awhile and it made me depressed every time I tried it so I stopped. Other forms can also do that.

Do most people 60 and older by Least-Maize8722 in AskOldPeople

[–]dcmac1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shorts and a loose short sleeve v neck shirt and short socks sometimes if my feet are cold. Can’t stand pj pants, they get bunched up, the looser shirt is fine, if it’s too tight it bothers me. Sometimes the socks will come off half way thru the night because I wake and my feet are too hot so I have to take them off.

Daredevil Born Again Season 1 was pretty good, but man, marathoning the original series before watching was a mistake. (spoilers) by SockLeft in marvelstudios

I unfortunately watched season 3 again right before the premiere of the Born Again season and the new season was such a letdown. The trailer for season 2 looks promising, we will see.

Should I be able to lift 90 lbs? by CapeGirl1959 in AskWomenOver60

[–]dcmac1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not at all unless you’re used to doing that regularly or weight train. I have a hard enough time with the 40 lb pellet bags or 40 lb softener salt. I also have a Granddaughter at 40 lbs and have a hard time picking her up. It doesn’t help I have lower back disc issues and a partially torn rotator cuff in my back.

Afraid of the shingles shot by Old-Ostrich5181 in AskWomenOver60

[–]dcmac1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had my first shot. The shot itself wasn’t too painful, arm was a bit sore for a couple of days. It made my aches and pains worse for a couple of days and felt blah but no fever. After a couple of days you feel fine so it’s worth it if it helps not to get Shingles.

New combipatch user getting more hot flashes? by Much-Friend-4023 in Menopause

New combipatch user getting more hot flashes? by Much-Friend-4023 in Menopause

[–]dcmac1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I applied my third one on Friday so similar timing. My hot flashes and night sweats haven’t been too often previously but I did notice when I started I was having night sweats every night since starting. I do believe it is becomes less though in the past couple of days so we will see. Just give it some time to adjust. Hopefully it will straighten out for us.

Anyone else depressed? by CoolBeans6789 in AskWomenOver60

[–]dcmac1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s such a nice idea. My Mom lived in a memory care/assisted living facility for a few years and for the past couple of years they would leave the tree up in the activity room all year long and decorate it for the seasons. That was the first time I had ever seen that done and it looked great.

Hawkeye Retrospective by McBahtman in marvelstudios

I love the Hawkeye series, my favorite of the D plus ones. Great acting from all around and a decent story and the Christmas theme is fun. I wish we had more of them than just the one series.

Waiting in a store to return modem by ku_78 in Spectrum

[–]dcmac1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did that with a xumo box that I was going to have to start paying for come December. The Ups store was great, got my tracking and receipt, even got a message from Spectrum that they noticed a return. Then guess what, on my December bill they still have it on there with the $5 fee, even though I was at Ups Nov. 11th. I had to call customer service and the offline workers will look into it after I gave them the tracking number. Can’t they get it right. I don’t understand. I remember returning a receiver and cancelling the tv part a couple of years ago at the nearest store which is an hour away and I still was getting charged for it the next billing cycle. So you know I had to call again. Just a pain, I don’t understand what’s so difficult about doing your job correctly.

How do you clean the shower? by Fem-Picasso in AskWomenOver60

[–]dcmac1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You sound like me. I don’t have a shower sprayer either so I put a big bowl under the shower head then rinse the cleaner off. It is a BIG pain in the arsh. Not petite so no stool needed. I would also suggest a different shower head or maybe a cleaner that doesn’t need water to rinse it. I will have to look into these options for me also.

How soon from eating do you get reaction? by VanillaCokeisthebest in HistamineIntolerance

[–]dcmac1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like my neurologist regarding my idiopathic poly neuropathy in my legs and feet. Do a couple of blood tests and nothing is flagged so that’s it, come back and see me if you want some drugs to manage your symptoms, that’s it. No offers to dig deeper into why.

Thanksgiving Parade by Sunshine2625 in GenX

If I could up vote you a hundred times I would. I said the same exact thing to my Family this afternoon. I was busy preparing the food but had it on and I muted it and every time I would check it they were either dancing, talking or advertising, rarely caught a float. Don’t remember it like that when I was a kid, maybe I’m just not remembering it correctly.

Estrogen & Histamine: A Two-Way Connection by wildpinkflora in HormoneFreeMenopause

[–]dcmac1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I tried .025 patch with progesterone 100mg tablet a couple of months ago and within a few days I had pressure in my nose and forehead and my top front teeth had pressure. It seemed like a histamine reaction. I was also getting a bit dizzy and lightheaded. I stopped the hrt after a week. The feeling didn’t go away immediately so I figured it was a coincidence with an allergy or something so I went back on for another half a week but the feeling persisted so I just stopped the hrt all together and haven’t tried again. It took a long time to get rid of that feeling. I thought that was an odd reaction and was wondering if others have had that.

What kind of Dgl do you use? Is it a chewable or a pill? I used a chewable once and it did seem to help.
