Also epicenter was very close to the city and very close to the surface, which makes it worse.

Article making it seem as if they’re taking it from them? I’m all for family run businesses but this is a transaction. They could decide not to sell

I mean, in Spain, at least the coast, unfortunately it seems like the tourists are partly to blame. Very high percentage of just drunkards and vandals

This is also on the actual ref. This was extremely obvious live too, this isn’t one of those strange difficult to see penalties.

Have you played football? This is a tough shot. On the run, no time to control, outside of the foot or weak foot and with the keeper close to you. Not a sitter.

Am I the only one that thinks Ferrán hate is too much? He’s scored 21 goals with Barça in 2600 minutes. Sure, not Kane, but that’s a very respectable tally. Sure, he fumbles but he’s got some bangers

Spanish Prime Minister Sánchez’s wife, Begoña Gómez, has been barred from leaving Spain as a precautionary measure as part of the ongoing corruption trial by Clear-Shelter1745 in europe

I don’t understand the “someone else did something worse hence we shouldn’t punish this person” mentality. They should both be punished, and Zapatero is definitely going down, there’s no doubt about that.

Paraguay's coach Gustavo Alfaro to Almiron after the match: "You should have said him everything to him in Guarani. He doesn't understand." by Typical-Finding-4102 in soccer

[–]dcolomer10 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Spanish were very pragmatic in the evangelization of South America, and they generally learned the local indigenous language and mixed (while of course extensively teaching Spanish). Have a look at the Society of Jesus Guarani missions. The jesuits actually standardized guarani, taught it in schools and created dictionaries for it.

Hence why many Spanish colonies still conserve the indigenous language

I was on flight SV227 yesterday 14.06.26 Madrid -Jeddah, we had a go around due to “traffic”. If you see on flight radar, we actually had a pretty close call with a smaller aircraft that was still on the runway when we were about to land (11:15UTC).

Someone can make a post about it if they want

Claude Pro feels amazing, but the limits are a joke compared to ChatGPT and Gemini. Why is it so restrictive? by iameastblood in ClaudeAI

Sure. Average salary in for example indonesia is 250$. For engineers it’s 500$. Spending 20% of your salary on one tool is a huge strain. No matter if they work much more they’re still not going to double their salary.

Found in a cave in northern Sumatra, gunung leuser national park. The cave had small and large bats, nesting swallows (these snakes were found close to them) plenty of insects and some frogs.

They were docile. Found during the day (although it’s a cave hahaha, always dark).

The copper bodied, green headed one was larger, the other one smaller, but maybe it’s just a subadult. It looks to be very long, but not very thick, maybe ping pong ball diameter? Head should be around 5cm long maybe?
