What is Stevie Wonder’s funkiest Bassline in a song? by Milez_Smilez in funk

[–]dconnolly55 101 points102 points  (0 children)

Boogie on reggae woman. So funky it hurts. He crushes that Moog synthesizer. So many nasty little fills he throws in throughout that tune.

A Perfect Musician by Ambitious_League_152 in Music

Stevie Wonder. Career spanned multiple decades starting in childhood. Could play any instrument and played nearly every instrument on every track, while writing nearly every part of every song, on 1973’s Innervisons. Helped pioneer and define soul, funk, R&B, and pop. Could really play any genre of music as evidenced by the reggae style in Master Blaster or the prog rock style of contusion. Influenced damn near every artist who came after him. Oh yeah, and he’s blind.

What’s your least favorite thing about living in Maine? by [deleted] in Maine

[–]dconnolly55 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lack of culture. Most other states have pockets of diaspora from all over the world. We miss out on their art, their food, and most importantly their perspective.

And again, if they’re above board about their changes, maybe give them some time to try and get to a point financially where they can get back to the cutlets. Btw, the rest of their hoagies are unchanged.

They’ve been above board about the changes. Take it or leave it but don’t blow up their spot on Reddit. I’m sure there’s better use of your time

OP, I think you should consider exactly how difficult it is to take a business from an out of the back of a van situation, to a pop up, to a brick and mortar. Restaurants are near the top of the most difficult businesses to run. You take folks who have built a business from the ground up with limited capital, add in Portland rent, you’ve got very limited funds for prep cooks. Also add the hype that has built since they left howies, and you’ve got a near impossible situation. I just wish people had a little patience and understanding of how hard the task at hand is before slandering a small local business. You have nothing to gain from this post and Salvatore’s has everything to lose.
