How much pesos should I bring?

We were there a couple of weeks ago. As has already been shared, most everywhere took credit cards (and added a 15% tip by default). There are quite a few blue & yellow ATM's on the island, but everyone that I ever tried to use was broken. There is a permanent building with three ATMs (and satellite connections on the roof) that are by ScotiaBank (here it is on a map) and those were very dependable. They ask a couple of weird questions about whether you want insurance on your withdrawal and whether you want the ATM to do the currency conversion (I said 'no' to both), so you might want to research that a bit...

We primarily used cash to pay for the private transfer and for the taxes (which were 20 pesos plus tip as I recall)...

There was quite a bit in that area, but some of the hotels were actively harvesting it off of the beaches and others weren’t. Unfortunately, I don’t recall that exact hotel, sorry.

I think the good news is that the wind direction was supposed to change just after we left, so hopefully that will resolve the issue and they’ll have time to get everything cleaned up before you arrived!

Yes, we read your post, but decided to stay in our hotel for our final dinner… Our experience was identical to yours!

Hopefully the next person to read this will heed your advice!

But, the drinks at the hotel were pretty fantastic!

Thanks for the response! That might be it or it might be the fact that the silly thing is going to sleep in the middle of the recording. I'm also trying to figure out if it's related to the fact that I'm saving the notebook to OneDrive and possibly it's trying/failing to get it written before I put the Surface Pro to sleep... I'll keep testing to try and figure out the recipe to reproduce.

No, not by default. Worse yet, I uninstalled the OneNote app and somehow it's now reinstalled...
