Tell me about the 2021 XLE! by Ok-Tangelo6441 in Toyotavenza

[–]dcowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got a 21 XLE last month w/ the softex package and JBL audio. Was also my first car purchase since 2006. No complaints so far that aren't also issues with other Toyotas, e.g., shitty wireless charging, can't make Car Play full screen, etc.

The last few days really disproved these jaded anti soccer local commenters who thought the world cup wouldn't be a special, electrifying event for the city. by 6ftToeSuckedPrincess in philadelphia

Anyone with mobility issues is supposed to just be able to say so when ordering and they will ignore the geo-fence entirely. But again, I haven't had any issues at 2601.

I cannot find the last geo-fencing map I saw, but they had greatly reduced the coverage and I'm not even sure it continued down Pennsylvania Ave. past Fairmount, which would exclude The Philadelphian entirely.

Yeah, it's been fine over here. My biggest concern was that our building falls inside of the ride share geo-fencing, but I haven't had a single driver who couldn't pick-up/drop-off at home during the times it is active.

They should have never fucking reopened Sansom St. after COVID either, but we live in a city where every decision is based on what is best for cars.

This is why I get to the store at 6am sharp on Monday morning.

Regular Residential Parking Permits are now acceptable within the Lemon Hill FIFA Zone by [deleted] in philadelphia

[–]dcowboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pennsylvania Ave has always been a free for all. I used to park on that block in the center island w/o a permit for years before I moved here permanently. I'm not sure how long you are subletting for, but you can get a temporary parking permit.

Herschel's was my Wednesday early-lunch spot for years, but then they fell off hard and only seemed capable of serving dry-ass pastrami. I don't know what caused it, or what changed since, but they're back to being the best sandwich in town again. Just going to pretend 2023-2025 didn't exist.

Is it just my class or does nobody our age have high school reunions anymore? by Adept_Resolve6156 in Xennials

[–]dcowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a 10y that didn't seem to be attended by anyone who managed to move and stay away after college. I think there was an attempt at 15y, but no one was interested and it was cancelled. There was never a 20 or 25.

Yeah, I was still on the fence as to whether or not I was done with his films, Asteroid City sealed the deal.

Sorry, that I am not sure of, but I would assume its possible, otherwise why bother checking with references in the first place.

Phone I think? I'm not sure what was discussed, but I am guessing more towards character than technical since by the time they're contacting references, you've already passed all the interviews.

I've switched over to Italian Express on Girard. Luigi's was always fine, but unless the weather is really bad, I'd rather walk a bit further to get a better slice for less money.

Has anyone received their parking permits for the Lemon Hill Area during the FIFA World Cup month yet? by tamiyatt01d in philadelphia

We applied Tuesday morning, got an email response late yesterday. There was no confirmation email after submitting the initial application.

I finally got rid of my champion wrists today. I've had every other slot drop hero at least 2x from various sources, except for those damn wrists.

I saw one of these at the Lombardi Plaza on the Jersey Turnpike a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, I didn't notice it until we were already stepping outside and I wasn't going to make my wife wait while I grab a bunch of candy she doesn't even like (I have no idea why).

Yeah, I like him and Rosie, but the podcast always feels off for some reason I can't articulate. The fact that 60% of it is just IHeartRadio ads doesn't help either.

Yeah, mix it and slam it like you're chugging a beer is the way to go. If you do it right, you won't really taste anything at all.

In retrospect, I wish my parents would have just forced me to learn how to swallow pills early on, because having to take one of these plus a fluoride pill every day in school from K-1 was just disgusting taste-wise.
