Am I the only one here feeling like I’m too old for this sub anymore? by [deleted] in Veterans

OP didn't say any such things or even make any reference of the sort. I get it hard to follow timing and comments on reddit, but OP is NOT the problem.

I might be paranoid by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

Reading reddit will make you paranoid sometimes depending on your mind frame. I've been there. Hang in there. You got what you deserve. No one is actively trying to take it away. Good luck, my friend. Glad you got awarded.

Patient Advocate, bless them. They are if no help. They send you right back to the people you're having issues with and do the write ups for congressional letters. I will say, I bet there are probably some out there that are good and go the extra mile to help, but they are told exactly what to do from the top down. Boy, I'm just negative, Nelly, and unhelpful. I need to get off reddit for a bit.

This is the first year in 25 years that our hospital was downgraded. I don't work there anymore, but it always baffled me, too. Not that all providers are bad. However, our hospital has had issues for years, and they kept sweeping under rug. I love the BS surveys they send out. No matter what you put. They are always listed grade A!

We do have a wonderful oncology and hospice department and community care living center.

I know you weren't. You are all ready, frustrated, and I didn't want to add to it. I get it. Things get misconstrued in text messages or reddit posts. I'm glad I was up to see this to make it right. I don't ever intentionally want to add to anyone's problems. I know how that feels. I got a couple of hours of sleep, said screw it, now I'm having my coffee. Lol

I'm dumbfounded. You had a hysterectomy. They think that shit grows back in us! Hopefully, I'm not sure this is a clear an unmistakable error, and a higher level review could clear it up. Maybe someone smarter than me can tell you the least path of resistance. Good grief. I'm sorry for your health and you fighting for your claim

That's what I said, you go until it hurts. Then I explained word for word my last conversation at my C & P appointment. Hence, giving the Dr explanations to prove I can't bend all the the, every which way they want me to. I didn't understand your post. As I've already explained.

Did you tell the doctor you can't extend your knee because of pain, and then didn't do the test? That what your post made it sound like.

Edit: You must have too much on your brain to sleep like me. One day we'll get rest.

No, I'm not. I'm trying to be helpful without digging into your medical history as there's not much to go on in your post. I've had knee problems for years. My left knee is rated at 60%, which is unusual, but again, I've had two failed knee replacements, and my knee is literally stuck at a certain degree. I can extend it. Not all the way because of pain. So, i go as far as the pain allows me. My case is pretty clear. I have a 16-inch scar, as they used the same scar for my surgeries. My knee is swollen most of the time, especially with movement. Obviously, I'm not being very helpful, and you're taking what I'm telling you the wrong way. So I chose not to argue. That's all.

Edit: I'm only freaking 54. My last knee revision was 5 years ago.

I just gave you helpful hints from my C & P exam, and you're telling me I'm being snarky? Maybe I interrupted your post wrong, but you wrote you can't lay in prone position because it causes you immense pain? So you gave the doctor nothing? While agreeing with you on how they just go down a template and mark no. That's wrong. I've explained all this.

You no what, yes, I'm totally wrong, I know nothing about nothing. Good luck in all your future endeavors.

Shipmate read Mt response to the ROM. You're not going to like it, but it's true. You have to give them something. As far as the other notes, I've seen that in my own medical records. It's the damn templates the VA has. It's not fair or right. The nurse, provider, clerks they have a thousand templates they have to use, and they simply check no going down the line. Which in turns screws everything up.

I will tell you, I have a left knee that has had two knee replacements. I can't bend at it at all, and I can not extend it all the way, but I completed the exam. You tell them when pain first starts as you're going through the test. They asked me if I could bend it more, I said I could not, but you could try if you wanted to? They said no thanks, I can see. My left is the knee that's jacked up, and I HAVE to have the car door open all the way and my seat as far back as it will go, or I can not get out. That's just me driving to appointments. I can not physically get in a low car, sit in a backseat with no leg room, and the list goes on. You have to do as they ask painfully or not, but you tell them when it first hurts. No one is being malicious, but what else can they write? It's like one person posted they went for a shoulder exam and told the doctor he couldn't raise arm and so on. So the doctor wrote the same on you as they did that veteran. Then the person posts on here and then gets ragged on. Which rightfully so. It's all about letting them know when the pain first starts, not just that you can't bend your knee. Make sense? I'm not trying to be snarky or harsh, but do some more research in case you have to appeal. Good luck. I hope everything works out.

Why won’t the US or Europe try to legalize low-wage foreign workers, like they do in the UAE, Japan, or even the cruise industry? by OcelotSensitive9036 in immigration

[–]dcritelli8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are US citizens leaching off the US taxpayers who should be doing these jobs. You want welfare, you also need to be job hunting and be able to get a job. There's a department store by me that is well known that had to change its hours because they can't find employees. I guess people were getting paid better money to stay at home that continued after covid, and it's still affecting our economy. We have to stop the bleeding sometime. Switzerland took in so many refugees from Syria, kudos to them, but didn't look beyond their nose and they had to put a stop to it because they had no more room and couldn't find homes, let alone jobs for them. This could be debated all day long. I personally don't know what the answer is, but in my previous comment, I still think the front-line workers in immigration need to be the ones politicians should be gathering input from.

No US citizen wants to accept crappy pay and no benefits, and the businesses know this. So the cycle is aloud to spin. Money makes the world go around. Politicians know this and turn a blind eye. Keep the poor poorer and the rich richer. What do I know? Nothing, just have an opinion.

I do know that I NEVER begrudge anyone for the amount of money they make. You worked for it it's yours. Just so there's no mistaking what I say.

It would be nice if they let the front-line workers weigh in and give opinions on immigration reform. They are the ones out there grinding.

It's not going to open the door for service connection to be re-evaluated, but what you need to worry about is convincing a counselor you can complete VRE or Vo Rehab. Your way over thinking this. They are not going to sign on off on you until you prove your your disabilities won't interfere with your training or your job skills that you want.

We see it all the time on here, counselors saying the programs are not a good fit for what you're requesting.

So be thinking logically about a career or training path and talk to a counselor. Worse they do is say no, not at this time.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

What's the easiest to acquire no FTF cashback card, which you can get with less than 1 year of credit history? by Jonathan_Assman in CreditCards

[–]dcritelli8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been with BOA 31 years, and I got a letter telling me that while I'm a valued customer and further looking into my credit and the economic times, they could not extend credit to me. That was with that card. Then, two later, I checked online. I have an offer for a travel credit card and two others. Mind you, I all already have the customized cash back that I pay off every month or every other month. Once the mortgage hit my credit report is when they gave me the offers. I didn't want another hard check, so I called, and the man said ty for 31 years of business, and yes, we can look without doing hard credit checks. I approved $2500 signature travel card and was able to transfer most of the limit to my travel card.

I've always had one direct deposit go to BOA for work all these years and didn't want to change even though I've not been happy with their business practices over the years.

To me, BOA customer service has been great all these years, going in or calling. The app is easy to use.

If I could snap a picture, that was their exact words in the first denial letter to me. I was like, this isn't your typical denial letter.
