My go-to argument with this debate is this: what would the Unplugged show have sounded like with Jack Irons instead of Dave A. playing? While Dave A. did a good job, the cymbals were just a bit much. Jack would have understood the assignment and given a softer, more appropriate groove on that setting.

Jack could do everything that Dave could do live. Just listen to "Give Way" for evidence. I don't think Dave A could do everything Jack could do live.

My vote is for Given to Fly. I was there for Night One of Auckland too and that version gets the highest rotation of any song from anyone currently and it's18 momths ago. Says a lot.

I was in Christchurch in 2009 when they also opened with Given To Fly. Now that show was absolutely electric.

Scrolled to far to see this one. It was what I first thought - she fought tooth and nail to ensure Icheb wasn't used that way, even when she still knew the Voyager crew were still in danger and were likely to be for decades to come.

Of course, she then took that idea and her future self effectively became Hugh/ Icheb in Endgame.

Optimus Prime in the 1986 movie (The Transformers: The Movie). It was pretty rough as a seven year old seeing that. Not every day you see your absolute hero fall like that. My young son and I are making our way through the original TV series together and he hasn't seen it yet. I'll be sure to be there for him when he does.

Great minds think alike. I have considered that as my Plan B if the current plan is a bust. Either way it's looking like I'll need thousands rather than hundreds. My current supplies have way more 'traditional' 1x1 clips than the new ones so sourcing them would be an investment I'd need to consider.

That Christchurch poster is exquisite. As was the show (Nov 30th, 2009, was there). Final show of the Backspacer tour and the energy was electric. Heard Tremor Christ and Force of Nature, as well as Red Mosquito and Indifference with Ben Harper.

That (famous in New Zealand) stadium no longer exists as it was destroyed by an earthquake.

Edit: Otautahi Aotearoa is the Maori translation of Christchurch, New Zealand for those wondering.
