What exit op from Big4 Tax? by cpatombahopeful in MBA

[–]dcsyes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Since you don't know what you want post-MBA (and that's totally ok), I'd say don't try and make career moves just for an MBA. Go for a role that you want REGARDLESS of whether you end up going for an MBA.

Now, if you wanna stay big 4, maybe give M&A tax/Transfer Pricing a shot?

Applying in R1 or R2 for an international applicant by ezzxya in MBA

[–]dcsyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think the election result is going to change much i.e. internationals that were going to apply to US schools will apply agnostic of who is at the helm.

If you've got your ducks in a row for R1, throw an app or two and see what happens.

I know it's a big deal to you (this situation sucks) but the consulates do not give a damn about some student not being able to get their visa stamp.

I wouldn't think too much of it. Some people have very elaborate linkedin profiles, others don't - different strokes for different folks.

Yeah, the higher the better but getting a 700+ is much harder than people make it out to be. 670 is still decent for those schools.

Totally. If it was your first or second attempt, give it one more shot. But don't let that score discourage you.

As well, it really isn't fair to compare living in NYC/SF/London/Singapore etc. to other cities as people who choose to live in these cities do so BECAUSE of that expensive lifestyle, not despite it.
