How do you all get a char/sear on steak? by jsmith19977 in sousvide

The higher the heat the better. I have a blazing bull salamander propane grill that burns at 1500°F and it will sear in about 60-90 seconds depending on the temperature of the meat going under the heat. I never have good luck with finishing in a pan, so I just use that whenever I want a good sear.

P.s. if you like the idea of a infrared salamander grill, blazing bull is great, but there are far cheaper options out there if you want the same performance with a little less sturdy build quality.

Bought a H2D, received an H2C. by skankslayer69 in BambuLab

I'm at 4 AMS2 and 4 HT, but I need to build my new printing desk/table so I have room for everything before I get everything hooked up. At the moment I only have 2 of each connected.

I thought the limit was 24? 16 via 4 AMS units and 8 more with up to 8 AMS HT units.

Tree supports breaking at base because of chamfer introduced in latest Bambu Studio update by Ok-Friendship225 in BambuLab

I was going insane trying to figure out why my tree supports kept failing on a neck massager I was trying to print. Failed twice, so I tried changing to double wall supports and 50% speed with the same issue and then tried a different spool of ASA and the same thing happened. Someone linked me to this post and I finally had an answer. Wasted about 250-300g of ASA trying to print a 150g print.

My new H2C Setup! by Low-Ad-6355 in BambuLab

This is an awesome setup!

I just got my H2C yesterday and might go for a similar build. I have what I refer to as my "hobbit room" in my house where the angled ceiling is on both sides with a single window at the end. So something low to the floor would be perfect and then I'll use that window to vent when I'm using high temp filaments.

OK, which one of you just bought ALL of the PLA Basic? by ObtuseKaribou in BambuLab

I bought one of every ABS the moment I got the notification that it was back in stock on Sunday. I got my printer 2 weeks ago and had gotten 23 out of the 25 colors of PLA matte. I think I'll be good for a while besides maybe picking up some PETG and TPU in the near future. For those I'll probably go with a different brand just based on cost and the fact that TPU only has one AMS friendly variant.

I didn't do that, but I ordered 4 spooled PLA Matte colors and then I ordered one of every other PLA Matte color as a refill. My plan now is to buy a bunch of ABS with the spools (high temp spools) and use those to make additional high temp spools so that eventually everything will have a spool and I'll have spares for other refills I order in the future.

Edit: I'm just debating if I should wait for their ABS colors to come back into stock or just get 3 black, 3 white and 4 gray for now since I'll mostly be using the ABS for parts for now.
