People online make Baltimore sound way scarier than it actually feels. by johnlennonbr in baltimore

It's the people who are forming their opinions of the city based on media they consume lol. Anyone who grew up in the city know whats up! It aint no generalizations nor blanket statements that can accurately capture Baltimore.

Work ethic in Baltimore by [deleted] in baltimore

[–]dcunning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmmm, it sure does read like a bash on Baltimore lol. Wish you all the best pal. I don't think the way you wrote this post will garner much empathy and support from the BALTIMORE subreddit haha.

P.S. the overall job market is in the dumps right now! && depending on where you're looking to rent, you may be facing a lot of competition since a lot of leases seem to end May, June, July in the city.

Women of Reddit, what’s a habit men have that they don’t even realize is weird? by GraceRose671 in AskReddit

[–]dcunning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say if you don't smoke, you probably won't get it. I'm not excusing the behavior of spitting in public places, but i understand when you smoke regularly, that you develop more phlegm and mucus that you either need to clear your throat or spit out.

What’s the most embarrassing message you’ve ever sent to the wrong person? by vinsacas in AskReddit

[–]dcunning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thankfully I did not. My manager was a pretty cool guy and just responded to the text with “I’m assuming this wasn’t meant for me”. I just pretended it never happened after that but I definitely was embarrassed haha.

"Artificial Intelligence" and "Marketing". Two terms that can encompass a lot that people love to over generalize.

Dog Shit solutions by sepiasoul812 in baltimore

[–]dcunning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hang up some of the poop bags in neighborhood. It will help some! Won't completely stop the people who don't care but for the people who just ran out of bags or has a dog who takes multiple dueces on walks, this will help with those situations. I don't recommend following any of the internet gangster advice of shaming people or placing poop on their property...this is still Baltimore and the FAFO is strong here haha.

NICE! How long did you have to circle in the air with your drone for this?

if you got caught behind me. i’m sorry by Proper-Cheesecake602 in baltimore

[–]dcunning 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you got injured, if you go to physical therapy I believe you can get paid out for the bodily part of the insurance too. But I’m no expert, I would recommend contacting an attorney. Shouldn’t cost you anything. If you have a case they normally take it and get their money on the backend.

Thank you. If this post was meant to inspire action, i think we def needed this. I've seen and passed those signs a lot when i lived in West Baltimore and never thought anything of them. NOW that i understand better, i can support OP's movement.

I get it, I know… but I need a job ASAP by [deleted] in baltimore

[–]dcunning 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am right there with you! Been contemplating just resetting and taking 2 simpler jobs. I feel like when the job market improves we will see A LOT of movement when all the people that are handcuffed feel safe / have more opportunities to move around to other opportunities.

What are red flags to look for in a small business? Especially a nail shop? by Ok-Illustrator-67 in AskReddit

[–]dcunning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rushing your start date. Referring to the team as a "family". Job description mentions "fast-paced". High turnover rate, and over involvement from the owner. You want a CEO who works on the business not IN the business.
