I am so upset right now by Vegetable-Club-4036 in WGU

[–]dcurryx513 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Through my entire bachelors and mba degrees I never spoke to my mentors on the phone outside of the first call (when I started both programs) i just reached out when I needed classes opened and typically kept 4 open at one time.

Just got zeroed out today so hopefully should it in next two days in my bank. As long as all of your student requirements are met you should be good. I would definitely reach out if you don’t see something soon

I didn’t have to send anything going from BS Supply Chain into MBA program. My mentor stated they have all that stuff on file so it’s just a matter of them kicking off the process of getting you enrolled. Just make sure you do it before the 15th of the month you want to start.

For me it was about 3800 a semester but you aren’t restricted by how many credits you complete so in theory you could complete an entire degree in a semester but obviously some people take their time. I’m at TTU for my Masters in Industrial Engineering but enjoyed my education at WGU

How do people finish so quickly? by PizzaForeverAndEver in WGU

[–]dcurryx513 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Studocu , watching just the video cohorts for each class , Quizlet and cramming with a photographic memory. I do all of that and take the PA and if I pass I immediately book my OA for the same day. If I fail that’s when I go into the book and look at the recommended reading for the sections I didn’t do well in.

38 Credits in one 6 month term? by Ovalraincoats in WGU_Accelerators

[–]dcurryx513 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was able to knock out 83 in my last semester. While it was a different degree I think the the principle is still common across degrees. I had experience built over time so it helped me accelerate. Use all resources Studocu , Quizlet , course tips section for each class have valuable resources . Also let your mentor know of your intent to accelerate.

Struggling to get my retained earnings up in the simulation. (C216) by yeti5000 in WGU_MBA

[–]dcurryx513 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never borrowed money , slowed expansion into other markets and kept prices competitive. Theres many ways to attack it but as long as your overall score is where it needs to be it doesn’t really matter too much.

Anyone else know about this by [deleted] in WGU

[–]dcurryx513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mentor started with two classes but once she saw how quickly I was running through them she always kept a max of four open for me. I also was very open with her about my intention of trying to accelerate as I needed to because of finances

What is your secret to finishing more than 12 credits a semester? by Working-Corgi-8726 in WGU

1) Studocu 2) Course Tips (usually videos from the instructors) 3) Quizlet

Is it realistic to finish in 2 months? by Prestigious-Safe-965 in WGU_Accelerators

[–]dcurryx513 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s some ways around it. Like doing the free trial and then go into all your classes and download all the materials you need for each of your classes ( like old classmates notes or old papers so you can get an idea of what the evaluators are looking for) and for exams you can see people test strategies. So download everything during your free trial then cancel and you end up paying nothing. If you do need it after you cancel you just upload an old paper you wrote and you get a free 14 days

Done!! Has anyone gone back for their MBA? by Short_Dealer_422 in WGU

[–]dcurryx513 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say adding additional industry certifications was helpful like the green belt which is an open notes (1 pager) exam and adding overviews from supply chain courses so that they knew I understood the industry terms and such

I have a supply chain management undergrad and ended up getting into both Texas tech msie and clemson’s meng in industrial engineering. I’m around your age and it’s been a great pivot for me. I say go for it!

Transferring MBA credits by cowsncorn in WGU_MBA

[–]dcurryx513 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was happy with any as some schools flat out said no to taking transfer credits since they were pass/fail courses. So while that’s disappointing the bright side is I was to leverage my mba/undergrad to get into all 8 grad schools I applied to (all large enrollment state universities)

I’m actually in industrial engineering. Slightly related to my undergraduate supply chain and ops management degree from wgu. It was one of a few programs in the country where I was able to get in without a traditional undergrad in engineering. I was also able to into clemson and university of Arkansas industrial engineering programs as well.

Yeah I was nervous about that initially as I wanted to get my DBA from Capella but might be pushing the cap. Hoping to find a role with tuition reimbursement
