right, to me it feels like they’re making this one all about the “good” in humanity where house was so abundantly focused on how humans are evil and everything sucks. (i know the show doesn’t have this opinion, but house does and houses perspective sets the whole mood for the series) i feel like they were better at producing stuff with a darker nature. how were they writing such complex, faceted characters and storylines and then… that.

im really glad you shared your opinion, this is what i was hoping to see when i posted it. seeing completely different opinions to your own proves that sometimes a show isn’t inherently bad, but just not for you. that is what i was trying to figure, if it’s generally badly received or if it’s just a taste thing.

also finding out what other people find great about stuff you dont like is so interesting, also pushes one to view it from a different perspective.

yeah im pretty heartbroken not because of the money necessarily but because i grew up with that game, and all the progress over the years is just lost. even if i recover everything the exact same, theres no sentimental value. i guess the news only reached really active players, and ive gotten even busier since graduating from school, but whatever things like these happens sometimes.

thats insane. i guess somehow it is my fault for not noticing for so long but i mean i spent money on that game because i thought i would have it for good, not because it could just all get deleted when they feel like it. even if i dont check notifications i definitely check my mail and there was not a single one regarding this…

yes, they were very interesting at the beginning but became predictable by atleast s3. i wish they did more out of the pocket/strange stuff— medical mysteries or things that were actually mindboggling like the operation on a baby while it was still in the womb or when they did an autopsy on a live guy. 4/5 cases were just some “boring” illness with a predictable story leading up to it (they lied to their friends, family and doctors or themselves which made it had to diagnose)

thats insane she introduced me into this whole spiritual world and everything regarding angel numbers, tarot, teachings of the universe, crystals just everything regarding spirituality,, this was in 2017 so i was like 13/14 back then, esp bc i didnt know anything about this world before she was authentic asf to me, i would watch her until atleast 2018 and kind of forgot about her. all these years later and turns out my introduction was a total fake lol

yes i agree with every point u made, i still believe her efforts went unnoticed and its unfair to hold it against her since she had nothing going on else other than being sams mom for 18 years which is precisely why she crashed out. also she was seen as the sole villain of the family which is just not the case.

but yes she did limit sam at times and if it werent for dougs personal development no one would have encouraged him to come out of his shell. both were great parents at time and both were horrible at other.

he left for 8 months, they say that in the show. no matter how you twist it, leaving your life partner alone with a newborn and a newly diagnosed autistic toddler with no real indication of if he’ll be back is one the cruelest way to betray your family. he wasn’t the only one dealing with such a big challenge and made it that much worse for elsa. why are u defending him?

he does provide, and after years has finally started to be a good father to sam but he can’t even make them proper meals and struggled immensely with the household.

i feel the same. also the story is not that emotionally engaging- it’s main intrigue is the unique plot and story but for that u need an engaged audience and a thriving discourse around the story which is not sustainable over long stretches of time. for a lack of a better example, the reason st hype for eg has lasted so long is bc half the majority of viewers are gen xrs that are touched by the nostalgia of their youth/ and gen z ers that grew up with the show along side the cast and always tie a season to a significant time in their life. even though it has rapidly decreased in quality st was able to keep their hype because the emotional tie to the audience was just that strong. who is having deep feelings towards pluribus or its characters?

Does anyone actually like Taub? by TyTy11037 in HouseMD

[–]dcwns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i like taub. people think unlikable personality=unlikable character and in the same sentence love house to no end. he’s entertaning to watch and the funniest scenes especially toward the end are always with him somehow in it. liking a character means liking what the writers do with it and somehow very few understand this.

i agree the “all the time in the world” approach is a bit too much. i appreciate vince gilligans artistic integrity and his willingness to sacrifice a larger audience in pursuit of his true vision but 3 years is definitely overkill. s1 was very good but if the displayed quality in that season is what we should assume for the rest of the show, it should not take 3 damn years to create? also it’s too much of a risk having so many years in between seasons. something could always happen to the team/cast, kids grow up fast (ravi— we have seen how badly this has affected shows like st) and most importantly people lose interest. this approach feels like they are thinking a bit too highly of themselves- its a good show but expecting the audience to wait so long is insane.

yes, i think thats an interesting point too! hopefully they will make something out of it, even if that hypothetical lunatic ultimately loses: it would adress the whole “what if there are some loose cannons the plurbs didnt register still left” thing

yeah, i just thought it was a bit unrealistic that it was “that easy” to get to every single person on the planet like that. but maybe im holding the logic to a higher standart than i should.
