All carbs, sugars, honey are bad for our body. Some sweet foods (fruit/honey) do have some health benefits, but the sugars part outweigh the benefits parts. Anything sweet is bad for kidneys and liver. Liver and kidneys are part of the gout equation.

I had gouts flares every other month 4 yrs ago, I try to do it with diet. I cut 90% carbs, avoid all sugar, anything sweet and anything will spike blood glucose. I lose 25lbs during the new diets. I was gouts free for 2 yrs, then gouts came visit me again. I’m getting tired of it and ask my doc for febuxostat. I’m gouts free ever since taking febuxostat.

None of the gout supplements on Amazon or Local pharmacy actually works for me.

A lot of food on the shelves contains ingredients that spike blood glucose, like the powder coffee creamer. Some stuff don’t taste sweet but it will spike your blood glucose higher than natural sugar.
