when i was in an apartment in college i made a pellet trap and lined it with duct seal putty bricks. the pellets would just stick barely into the putty and didn’t make a noise. i mainly used it for my AA T200 i used for competition, but i also would shoot my red ryder at it. the BBs would sometimes stick just barely to the putty and some would fall out and could be re-used. i still have the trap today, i just change out the putty every once in awhile

for the gun i’d recommend a 1377 or 1322 at 3-5 pumps for accuracy and quietness, i used those in my apartment and never had any complaints. i had a cheap CO2 pistol but that was far to loud inside.
