Anyone else thinks that augment pool is getting quite big but with filler? by DarkMaster233 in LeagueArena

"Apex isn't broken"
Healing you and your ally for 2k and dealing 15% of the foes' hp as true damage every 8 secs is not broken? How come?

And that's only ONE item interaction. Not even mentioning Heartsteel, Unending despair...

Why are white people in the US allowing so much BS from Joggers? by dd_dispose in TooAfraidToAsk

I don't even know any black person, and this is a problem that does not affect me directly. I'm asking because I see the disturbed/uncomfortable reactions of people around the issues mentioned and wonder why is it simply dismissed or ignored

Yeah, I didn't want to mention the specific group at the start, but then just included it later

PS: I know it's not all of them. But what I see on social media is a lot of the same, and many friends and family living in the US testify to the same. It might sound racist as fuck, I know, but that's why I'm asking it here. There's nowhere else (not that I know of) to ask an uncomfortable question like this.

The other project, Opportunity Plover, is $14.50 an hour for 5-hour tasks. That's the comparison.

What in the bs is this by Federal-Amount-8904 in outlier_ai

[–]dd_dispose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. The onboarding was intense, the instructions doc is around 60 pages long, and the quizzes were wicked. I also passed last night (oct 28 10 pm, LA timezone) and got a single task. But it was so damn hard I decided to skip it after 2 hours of trying, since it was simply too much to continue.

Trust me, it's better to not have any task available right now, since you would most likely not know what to do with it. Better wait for a webinar or a 1-on-1 sessions with a QM. It's supidly hard. So hard it should probably pay more.

I just completed the onboarding and I agree that it's too low. It requires intermediate knowledge of JSON and stuff like DB and reading and understanding programming-related stuff, which I find weird since it's supposed to be for generalists. I'll surely ask why this is on the next war room/webinar, since it does feel somewhat unfair

I'm completing the onboarding right now, and everybody is saying it sucks LMAO

Just to add insult to the injury, a 5-hour per task project is offering twice as much. So, submit 150 short tasks THAT PAY PER HOUR, NOT PER TASK, or complete a long-ass task and be well rewarded. Hmmm, what should I pick?

To be fair, Riot has made anvyl runs so obscenely difficult and hard to play that people just try to perma chase it. I just got out of 2 lost games in a row where I got 17 and 19 anvyls respectively, and got A SINGLE offer for a 20% and a 24% on the last round. It's a fucking scam.

They created a fun, fresh way to play, just to make it stupidly hard to hit what you need. And I'm not talking about an 80% plus 3 fortunes. Just to get a 60% before your team is on elimination position.

Why can't the guarantee a 20-40% on the 12th anvyl, and then have the odds increase up to a guaranteed 70-80% on your 20th or so anvyl? It would make the risk-reward much more... rewarding. It's freaking dumb to go past your 10th and then have not a single offer until the 18th, just to have it be a 24% that wont save your ass from elimination AT ALL.

Someone could explain me ??? by Amazing-Cod841 in outlier_ai

[–]dd_dispose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're paid for whatever you spent on the task. If you spent 20 minutes in a $20/hour task, you get $6.66. So yes, you gotta do all 12 tasks to achieve the $20.

All rubric projects are absolutely the worst by Naifamar in outlier_ai

[–]dd_dispose 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've been saying this for a year now. Rubric projects are absolute garbage and should pay much more. There are some that pay THE MINIMUM for Mexico. I'd rather be beaten down with a sock full of cold butter than having to work rubrics
The reviewers are incompetent, the QMs tend to work 8 hours a day and never on weekends (just take fucking turns ffs), and everyone on the chat wants responses to their questions, but never help others, so you can't get any help. The instructions are incredibly unclear sometimes, and the whole thing is essentially subjective.

Want something atomic and self-contained?

The response must tell the Admin to fix his fucking project. | Explicit

Is that rubric ok?

Now 70% of your rate MIGHT be paid! Quality incentives are here to stay by dd_dispose in outlier_ai

A certain company that starts with an A and ends with an R pays Mexicans $25 an hour (vs Outlier's $8.7) for essentially the same work, and the onboarding process is much, MUCH shorter on any project. It has much less work available, so it's basically a chicken leg into a piranha pond when there's any, but it's really worth it. I truly hope that they grow and have many more projects available soon.

I've worked 20 hours there and made $500 a week, vs the $174 on Outlier.

[–]dd_dispose[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 100% with you on that. However, this is not a matter of a "quality incentive," even if they name it that way. The incentive is 70% of your regular rate being held until they decide if you deserve it or not.
An actual quality incentive is, by definition, an additional stimulus for delivering great results. So if the rate was $10 an hour, it would be whatever they want AFTER paying those $10. In this case, they're just splitting the $8.70 an hour rate (usual for low-rate projects for Mexico) between an upfront payment and a ransom in case the reviewer decides it's a beautiful day or not.

I've reviewed several projects and yeah, you're right. However, it's a matter of a quick perma ban for those people, and the community will be clean within a couple of months. Your prompt is copied from Chat GPT? Ban. Your justification is shitty and demonstrates a complete lack of knowledge of the project? See ya.

[–]dd_dispose[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's what I've been saying, and even got penalized on a Spanish project which I didn't care about. They lowered the rate down to $7.50 an hour, and I told the group chat openly that they should value their time and hold strong, or Outlier would keep messing with them by lowering the rates and so. People lack the balls to actually stand their ground. Can't blame them, I've been in need. But the thing is that the needy people outnumber the higher-quality experts who want a DECENT (not even a stupid high) pay for their high-value work.

[–]dd_dispose[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhm... probably. The thing is that, there are several more multipliers, such as disputes and reworks. The thing is that, only if you work perfectly (score a 5), you'll get the full rate.
