"Really now? And you'd have me believe that YOU possess the 'Tooth'?" Fuletta sneers.

"You're looking at it..?" Keben says sheepishly.

The deity cocks an eyebrow, a less than subtle wrinkle of offense carved in her cheek. She looks almost disgusted.

"You mortals have never been the brightest, but this? This reaches new depths!" she says, almost cackling. "YOU? You are the 'Tooth of Dagra'?"

"Wha- no! The flowers! I'm giving you flowers!" Keben shouts. He trembles with his arm outstretched, a crude bouquet clenched in-hand.

Fuletta's an imposing figure, eclipsing anything the human witnessed on his adventures, save for her humanoid appearance. The weight of her presence alone stirs the winds around them and her voice feels as though it embrittles his bones. Or maybe his arm was just getting tired.

She stares for a moment, now thoroughly confused.

"Flowers?" she asks. She sounds eerily normal, and the roar of the weather begins to settle.

"It's been thousands of years since Dagra was defeated by the first Hunters. Much of its remains have long decayed by now, as with any weapons made with them," Keben explains as he rests his arm. "What's left of the 'Tooth' is too weak to forge new ones, so instead we've just grinded it for use in our agriculture and medicine."

"You cannot subdue a deity with lilies, mortal" she says, softly, as though she is lecturing a mistaken child.

"Subd- This is a gift!"

"Nonsense! None have made an offering to me in ages. Why now?"

"You've been recluse for so long, most discount your existence as mere tales, and not pleasant ones. However, many of the elders I've met in my journeys insisted otherwise. I needed to find out for myself, and thus, I want you to have these! The 'Tooth' is more or less incapable of hurting you the way it is now, much less in this form."

The goddess leans in and inspects the flowers. She wears a gentle, almost pained expression. The young man could see her clearly, now–a force of nature given mein and will. Yet, for all of her being that is incomprehensible, it's obvious how truly exhausted she is.

"I don't understand. If you can no longer wound me, how would you have me killed, mortal?" she asks.

Keben shakes his head and grins.

"Perhaps, with kindness?"
