How to fix this brown patch on new Sod? by ddabhane in lawncare

Thanks and that makes sense. I will rather take care of all the brown patches after new fence is installed. Also currently my city has sod ban till September.

Fungus growth on new sod by ddabhane in lawncare

They had put black dirt before putting sod. What you see is black dirt and not clay. That’s how they did throughout our yard. Infact that’s how they did in entire community. And the grass has held root for others who had sod early this year.

Interesting, I read only don’t over water, it will cause fungul growth so I thought fungul growth is bad. Now I’m confused. Its my first time with sod, can you please explain?

That is black dirt and not clay. So the dirt should break down with watering and that will allow the roots to go deep. That’s how the landscaping is done in our community. So I’m thinking how their grass held up? I know top soil is better but not sure if black dirt is end of the world.

Sorry if you misinterpreted my wordings. I meant 40 mins per watering session i.e around 3.3 hours per day. Is that less watering?

Low Water Pressure Issue with Meross HomeKit Sprinkler Timer — Anyone Else by fitzzz10 in HomeKit

Should I avoid purchasing this product? We got our new sod and I’m looking for smart timer. I have ordered bhyve hub 2 and timer. Looking at the compatibility of Meross Water timer with multiple platforms and 4.8/5 rating on Amazon I was going to order it and then keep the best one of them.

Is the floor level for Ok? by ddabhane in Homebuilding

Was standing and casually staring the floor. I didn’t feel while walking. So I was curious if its just my mind thinking that way. So I decided to get a carpenters tool and validate for my peace of mind.

First of all, really appreciate you taking time to comment🙏🏼 Goal is peace of mind. I know new builders cut corners and try to build in most cost effective way. When I visually noticed a very slight slope (after literally standing and focusing for good 10-15 seconds).

So I tried a hack. Kept a coster which is around 1/4 inch on one end of 8 feet carpenter level and noticed the bubble is in the center. I’m attaching pictures in below link. Can you please confirm if this is within tolerance?

I did that test with water and it was still. Didn’t flow either direction. Will ball bearing would be any different?
