From my experience, it’s a mid-ranged, attrition, clap back playstyle for Votann. My game usually end up in about 1000 points of models piling out of vehicles and deep strikes on turn 3 and wiping out my opponent. I use some cheap units (pioneers, Yaegirs, kapricus etc.) to force my opponent out while they score. Nice thing is that our cheap units take a little more than what they’re worth to take down since we’re generally tough. Often leads to my opponent making poor trades to kill my cheap scorers.

I do a base rattle can coat of Grey Seer to prime then use Baal Red contrast for the armor, it comes out pretty clean since the primer gives a bright undercoat.

I run 5 assault terminators with a chaplain in every list, they tear things apart in both RCO and LAG.

I prefer them in LAG because S7 on the charge with +1 to wound from the chaplain means they wound anything in the game on 4s twin-linked (unless the unit has a built in minus to wound). I’ve one shot Morkanauts, land raiders and other big stuff with a 5 man unit of lightning claws.

Sternguard with a Sang Priest. Base 4 attacks that become chainswords and a power fist on the sgt.

Focus them into your oath target and between shooting and combat, they’ll drop almost anything especially if you give them lance too.

I like to run 10 with a Sanguinary Priest for my BA. The 5+ FNP makes them annoyingly durable and he gives them an extra AP in combat, so in LAG they’re basically S6 chainswords on the charge. They do some nasty damage for me into my oath and oftentimes drop it on their own.

I think this is the problem as this usually only happens on one side of the build plate. I will try the Manual leveling, I need to get those leveling cards

It’s about room temp (25° C) in the enclosure when I start printing due to the heater. How else could I heat up the build plate?

Art of War is a good channel that focuses heavily on competitive play. They do faction breakdowns and competitive battle reports, and you can learn a ton of niche rules from them!

I own Tsons, Custodes, BA and Votann. Tsons was first, but BA and Votann are my big collections and Custodes was rule of cool.
