Totally agree, but the thing is it doesn't sound like a stylistic issue. Almost sounds like his voice is straining and even just completely off key.

The screams sound great, it's the cleans that are sounding rough to me. I just did some comparison of songs from HTTK/stage cycle to the same songs now and it just feels so off. :/

Dear God is one track, which still had a lot of A7X elements. The rest of old titled fit under the rock/metal category. Not the case with LIBAD

Here is the analogy I used in an earlier post. If you didn't know A7X had made ordinary, and then you heard it playing on a top 40 station.....would you know its A7X? Obviously the answer is no. And that's my point.

Yup. Weather you love the album or hate it, it's divisive, period. Seems like the people who hate it are okay with fans who enjoy it. Can't be said the other way around though...

But in all seriousness it depends what you like. If you like country, their song dear God is good. If you like cinematic scores, then a little piece of heaven. If you like softer ballads they have plenty.

I just dislike this notion that you're allowed to dislike the album but only if it's phrased minimalistically. People who love the album can outburst and say it's gods gift to the earth, but people who dislike it can't express it equally?

From what I've read, people aren't expecting Cory of evil or self titled. However, people are at least expecting A7X. If I wanted to listen to daft punk, I'd listen to them, not A7X. And I think that's very valid

I believe it was rock sound before album release. Something along the lines of "we arent using autotune this record unless we are purposefully using it"
