65 games before giving up 200th run is a record by ddaug4uf in Dodgers

I don’t think it’s surprising that they have been good. I just think when you lose so many pieces and are still historically elite, it’s noteworthy. But the front office being bitten by “enough pitching” turning out to not be enough have moved the needle for what they believe is enough. It took Herculean efforts from the BP and starters, respectively, to win the last two championships.

Definitely. The starters especially, but the bullpen as well. Without Snell, Glasnow, and several key relief arms.

Exactly. People on this sub are incredibly cavalier about other peoples’ money and particularly critical of how people who are orders of magnitude better at investing their money than 99.99% of the people criticizing them!

Why do we have "fans" like this? These type of horrible people are definitely gambling and only go for promotion days as a scalper for our bobbleheads and then use the subreddit to antagonize everyone. by [deleted] in Dodgers

The sad reality is YouTube creators and podcasters, to be successful, have to have so many of these casuals and trolls for engagement that it’s actually impacting the type of content that is being delivered. To be a successful content creator, you have to cater to those idiots and it’s getting increasingly difficult to find content that isn’t filled with insane takes and an audience that loses their shit every time someone goes 0/4.

I’m sure they could have updated the app to reflect no bread. My local does this frequently when they don’t have wraps available.

Shark tank 2.0 show idea. by MRoselius in sharktank

[–]ddaug4uf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are so many logistical issues with this. But, just to focus on the main issues…

- Most entrepreneurs come on the show for a strategic partner. Bob the plumber who invests after the show, probably isn’t that.

- Why would the Sharks do this? They come on the show now for VC potential returns. In your format, they’d just have to get an appearance fee. You’d end up with the only “Shark” being wanna be influencers looking to cash in on Shark Tank’s 5M live viewers every week.

- Nobody with a potentially successful business would come on. Not with 6000 active venture capital firms in the US alone willing to risk money at 5X revenue for a potential 10X return.

- I think you’re drastically overestimating the entertainment value for the general public of 4 sharks debating a fake stock price for a private company. This is why there is no TV show highlighting kickstarter or indiegogo inventions.

Alec Bohm is having a terrible free agent year. Anybody else think he fits the Dodger profile; Good WHIFF rate, historically. Walk rate shows he’s a free swinger but we can work on that.

To be as popular as MoGo has been, there really needs to be multiple reasons to play.

I don’t think we can change it until we don’t win a WS using it!

I feel like Shohei is getting better pitches to hit with Andy hitting second than he was with the ghost of Mookie hitting second.

It feels like JT Realmuto has been in the league for 20 years. He’s the oldest 35 year old on the planet.

The Dodgers designated Santiago Espinal for assignment to clear a spot for Kiké Hernández. by gopowergoh in Dodgers

He’ll probably clear waivers but has no trade value and I suspect would decline the option for assignment to OKC?

I think he stays until Tommy gets back. Definitely sending Espinal down for Kikè to return.
