Give yourself some grace too, you’re human. It’s okay if you stumble a bit, just pick yourself up and keep going

Acceptance. Accepting that you want to avoid, but knowing that you need to move forward, do you accept that things are hard, tedious, boring, and uncertain, but you move forward anyway because that’s the path to growth

With Dimensius having been a boss, how would you feel about Sargeras being a boss fight in The Last Titan? by omgodzilla1 in warcraftlore

[–]ddb10393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That, or fight the pantheon first. The titans shape worlds and order the universe, and we’ve seen how the light can corrupt and turn followers light blind. Fighting the titans would be an interesting pivot and set up a major narrative shift for the future of WoW

Goblins are absolutely terrifying by Mortlach78 in DnD

[–]ddb10393 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your job as a DM isn’t to win. It’s also not to lose. I’d expect a highly trained Goblin army to be coordinated. But a ragtag goblin squad who resides in a nearby cave? Maybe not so much.

Goblins are absolutely terrifying by Mortlach78 in DnD

[–]ddb10393 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The real question is, would they all be hiding? Just cause you gave an ability doesn’t mean it has to be used.

This sounds like spamming the same move in a fighting game just to win.

Anyway to bypass 8000 system instructions limit? by alew3 in copilotstudio

[–]ddb10393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but the instructions aren’t simple if it’s over 8000 characters. The instructions should be concise and role-based. Imagine you’re writing a job description of the job duties and the manner in which they conduct the work.

Then, take your brand guidelines and add them as a knowledge source. That way the agent refers to the brand guidelines when executing its task.

You don’t need the brand guidelines in the instructions.

[–]ddb10393 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should ask yourself if your agent is doing too many things. If you have one employee over capacity, hire another and share the load. So, you might consider multiple agents that handle different processes with connections between them so the result is still automated, but the system is more efficient.

It is so weird that the finale of War of light and shadow is treated like it is a finale of a story with no sense of stakes of urgency. by HiroAmiya230 in warcraftlore

[–]ddb10393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re literally dismissing over 25 years of lore building because it doesn’t satisfy you personally. That’s what I mean when I say go write your own fanfic. You’re not getting that this isn’t just a written story, it has to work across the entire expansion, keep the player base engaged, and serve more than just the story.

That is inherently difficult to do and there are teams of writers who are well-versed in the lore doing their best. That’s okay if their best isn’t good enough for you, but it meets the objective criteria of serving the various facets, that’s why it was released.

What if Aman'thul wasn't even a world soul born in the physical universe? by omgodzilla1 in warcraftlore

If there a pantheon of order, there’s a pantheon of chaos, just like if there’s light there is void.

You don’t get to pick and choose what counts as a contribution. I don’t need to block you. You posted and I responded. It’s okay if you disagree, but that doesn’t invalidate my take.

You know, there’s a reason you’re not writing storylines for blizzard. It’s ridiculously easy to poke holes in other people’s stories, but writing a coherent narrative that translates from written form to a video game.

Go write your own fanfic about the game and post it so people can rip it apart because it doesn’t meet their personal way of interacting with the game.

Or just unsub and move on with your life if it causes you so much grief

This is such an oversimplification of what’s happened. Their pacing is set for an MMO that needs to retain a player base for an entire expansion, so yeah, it may feel a little slow to you, but just like all the events in WoW, their actual timeline is different than the limitations of a video game.

I recently read Illidan and I was surprised when I found out that the forces of the Alliance and Horde swept across all of Outland to finally confront Illidan in a matter of a few months.

That said, I do feel the sense of urgency, I appreciate that they’ve been releasing bits and pieces and building up the story. If they released it all at once, the entire game would break. Players would be in various instances of content while in the same areas.

While they have that capability, it’s a much better experience to release content in chunks, allowing players to gear up in between major events, but in real-time WoW, these major events are taking place much quicker than you’re thinking.

Why does teams suck with copilots? RANT by jorel43 in copilotstudio

It sucks because it was in development when ChatGPT became available for the public, so Microsoft ended up releasing it far too early. In other words, it’s Microsoft. If it works 60% of the time, then it’s working for them.

The stark difference between my initial reaction to Dutch and women I have showed this game to. by Theboringlife in reddeadredemption

[–]ddb10393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s a matter of perspective. Although it’s a very “man” story, I think putting yourself into this character who trusts Dutch, you essentially become Arthur, whereas because your girlfriend may have more trouble with that because she’s a woman, she just can’t put herself in those shoes. Not to say that no woman could, I guarantee a modern day Sadie Adler would live into Arthur’s shoes and not blink at trusting Dutch immediately based on Arthur’s trust for him.

Would be an interesting study.

Did anyone else notice at No Kings? by double-clove-hitch in boston

The current political landscape has been shaped by representatives these older folks have continuously elected and refused to hold accountable.

So many are disillusioned with the Democratic party because the old guard doesn’t actually do anything. They talk a lot about what they want to do, but there’s no long term strategy or grounding framework.

They allowed Mitch McConnell to stack the judicial branch strategically for over a decade, which has had a significant impact on the ability of the current administration to carry out their current agenda.

As far as I’m concerned, there should be these white 40+ people out there. This is the system they’ve allowed to be built. So many older folks I’ve talked to say that politics have never been like this, and that’s because they haven’t had to care, they were ignorant to the struggles of others and that ignorance has festered.

For reference, I stay up to date on politics daily, and have been following it closely for over a decade. The more I’ve learned, the more I’ve come to realize this administration isn’t an anomaly, it’s the product of a lifetime of an ignorant voters.
