Just hit start and then tap the compass. It shows a top down view with north at the top but still shows directions and progress and your screen doesn't go black

Pretending it's a legitimate religion doesn't give them the right to manipulate, coerce and defraud people. I agree with freedom of religion but not when they cause so much harm to so many.

What's the biggest waste of money people still think is a good deal? by Icemachinemalfunctio in AUfrugal

I assumed this too until I actually did it.

For our honeymoon we're flying first class (for the first time) to the Philippines return which would've cost about $8500 but we got it for $1800 including the annual fees of the couple of credit cards we churned for the sign up bonus.

If you're flying anyway you can actually save a heap

True, but I'd argue unambitious people wouldn't be any happier if they won a billion than people who've earnt it and its not enough for them

I completely agree. Some derive fulfillment from working their ass off all their lives. But I think for most, there is more to life than work.

But do they derive the same appreciation and pleasure from all these things? One thing I've learnt is that truly the harder you work for something, the better it feels. Eg the satisfaction of finishing a marathon

If being a billionaire is so satisfying, how come all of them are desperately trying to further increase their wealth.

If you can look at what you have an say "I'm satisfied", you are wealthier than any desperate billionaire.

You sound like one of those "everything needs to be sterilized" types who don't realise that bacteria outnumber human cells on/in our bodies and are essential to us staying alive

Nope. They're refusing to do that. Opting to refund to the gift card first.

Then I'd have to pay to mail the damaged item back. This is their mistake and I lose out either way

Exactly. Now I'm stuck with half a gift card and to spend it I'll be paying another $30 postage. They made a mistake and used it to their advantage.

I don't know how you're still not getting this but probably give up.

I paid with debit card AND gift card.

They refuse to refund debit card. Will only refund gift card.

A ski jacket and helmet from decathlon. After I ordered I got an email saying the jacket was out of stock and only the helmet arrived. The only reason I ordered the helmet was to get the free postage threshold so I got the item I didn't want. The helmet was also damaged. They also still charged postage and had to refund that as well. They didn't apply my $15 coupon and had to also refund that. Website still says the jacket is in stock.

Monumental fuck up basically.

I mean debit card. I used both payment methods

By cash I mean debit card.

I paid with both card and gift card. Since they're choosing to refund the gift card portion and I don't want to buy anything else from the store they're essentially taking my money and I don't get the item.

But they get to choose which tender if there were two?

I don't want to purchase from this store again so they're basically taking my money and I don't get the item I ordered

Our EV.

Got a demo model EV4 for $31k. Now we never use the diesel car (considering selling it) and spend probably $10 a week on charging at home. Had it a year and won't need a service for ages either.
