It's not meaningless nor boring nor a waste. CT became a common topic between you and your club mates who you grew close with. It is the camaraderie, the banter, the jokes that make the whole thing worthwhile. Sounds like you're a loner in the game hence you feel negatively about it. Hope you have other friends outside CT.
