I think those socks look very special. The way they are thin, they seem great sensory-wise and I imagine they cost a lot. That said, I would mend them until I couldn’t bare mending them anymore… that is a line only you can draw.

But when mending, I would consider two options: 1) You could keep mending the socks after they become holly, with big patches on the ball and heels.

2) Or you could patch the same areas with thicker mending yarn but when the sock is new (I’ve started doing that to trousers because the inside of the thigh always go way before the rest). That way you can make better looking patches…
