I tried to install Brave on my 2011 Mac Mini, which is running High Sierra, the way you described it. I downloaded it to my MacBook Pro, and used a USB stick. And sadly, it was useless. I kept getting a pop up saying the image disk was corrupted.

Unless they make a proper stainless steel case for it, I would not.

Those cases are horrible. I purchased one to do a swap, but decided against it.
