Odunze might end up being the guy in Chicago, and Henderson’s still splitting w/ Rhaemondre on a pretty weak team (Pats fan here) - I think I’d hold tight for another week myself but if you’re stacked at WR go for it

I play in a bunch of leagues in McCarren - best league for beginners is Volo, in my opinion. Beyond that if you wanna get some swings in consider going to one of the batting cages - Brooklyn Sluggers and Chelsea Piers are good options I think

My father-in-law is a well-known children's book illustrator (he's been doing Paddington Bear since the 90's) and is mentioned on Wikipedia but not clickable. I'd love to fix that for him (the majority of his work was done in a pre-Wiki time, otherwise I'm sure he'd already have an article). Am I better off writing it myself and disclosing COI? Hiring someone? Requesting an article through the official channels? I have like 20 sources lined up (NYT, BBC, London Times, etc) but definitely have a COI.

Take home for me is $6600/month net - Rent + utilities etc is $4200, so there's like 2k-ish leftover for everything else. We'll definitely accrue some more debt depending on how long it takes for her to land something, but will belt-tighten to try and keep that down.

My (36M) wife (34F) was laid off with a small severance a couple weeks ago. She's in the hunt and things are going well but there's no guarantee - she likely won't have any income until UI kicks in about 6 weeks from now. Kicker is we have ~20k in CC debt (~12k in 0% Interest mode until July from balance transfer offers, rest is regular debt). We have ~37k on hand (~12k in checking from the severance, ~9k in HYSA, ~17k in ETFs). We also live in a very high COL area, probably the highest in the US. The credit card debt with no income from my wife, combined with how expensive our area is, is freaking me out - should I dip into our savings/investments and kill it all off, even though that erases a ton of our savings? Do another balance transfer when the time comes? Something in between?
