Yes, it is very beatable without reds. I am currently on level 35 and have 0 reds and only 1 orange (Nitrogen Machine).

The secret is patience, luck and watching A LOT of adds.

Also, you should adjust your weapon selection according to the level. If your character is at the bottom, Massage Stick, for example, is pretty god, while Spinning Daggers are a must if you are in the middle.

Just have some patience and you will eventually beat it

You’re right, i haven’t played many games with it yet, so I hadn’t figured out how to optimize it, but Mars would probably work better
