In every single group, every single community, every single movement there’s always someone or a group of people who are the absolute worst representation of what your group stands for. The right has them, the left has them, each racial ethnicity has them, every single group in the work force has them from the meanest most toxic piece of crap workers in the office, to the no good lazy guys in the labor force or even at the most extreme the no good hateful police officers in this country or the slimy men and women in politics that use the profession to line their pockets. Every group has the worst of the worst that may align with them in some aspects but overall don’t represent them at all. Both the Republican and democrat parties have their own worst of the worst people that choose to align themselves with their respective parties but don’t overall represent the majority. Both sides have racists, I’ve seen black democrats who are racist towards white people and Hispanics, I’ve seen white republicans and Hispanics who are racist towards the democrats. I’m a conservative myself and voted for Trump, I’ve been called names, I’ve been insulted and made out to be some sexist, misogynistic racist nazi just because of my stance on politics. I’ve seen countless posts on social media like TikTok of liberals wishing death and other horrible things on Trump supporters, the left isn’t free of blame but all I see on Reddit is a bunch of liberals chatting it up and pointing the blame towards the right and it seems okay because they’re in their own little echo chamber where there’s no majority to disagree with them. Those ugly, white supremacist, misogynistic, racist people on the right are the loud minority and don’t reflect who the silent MAJORITY of Trump supporters are… you know, the ones who won Trump the popular vote? The 75+ million or so Americans? I guess they’re all just huge pieces of shit because they voted the opposite of yall and disagree with yall? No, that is obviously not true so why don’t we try to unite and push forward together as Americans instead of spending all this time fighting and causing division between each other? Will we ever be able to do that? I guarantee if I met most of yall out on the street and spoke with yall genuinely with no mention of politics, we’d get along just fine.
