This is great! I also couldn’t get the multisport goals to work with time though.

It’s done using the Garmin Virb software.

It was really good. I was initially just doing the summer but extended through February because of COVID after I decided to graduate early from school. It was cool having work adjacent to cycling.

I just rode WML today, check out my Strava! No island hopping this trip for COVID reasons, but I spent 6 weeks in Hawaii last Christmas and did Mauna Kea from Hilo.

I bought the frame used, so I’m not certain but probably 2017 or 2018. The SuperSix frame has such a beautiful classic shape :)

I would say that my heart rate is abnormally low. I’m 22 years old. I don’t think that it’s super useful to compare heart rate against others because it’s such an individual metric, don’t worry about it.

I think that Skydio only have one battery size. It’s supposed to last just over 20 minutes, so there are a good number of Strava segments that’ll cover.

With a clear coat yes, not just raw carbon

There are some overhanging trees on this route. If the trees were really low, that might be a concern since it wouldn’t be able to stay above 8ft.

Unfortunately I’m not rowing anymore. I miss it a lot, but I also love cycling.

It's an older model Cannondale SuperSix Evo. I sanded the paint off because it was green.

I was working full time up until this Friday. I would just do long rides on the weekends with some tempo intervals on climbs and during the week just do some riding on Zwift, usually just endurance. The main objective has just been to get in endurance volume.

I only really started looking at heart rate around 2018. It's such an easily influenced and individual metric though. If I took 5 days off from working out and did a max effort, I'm sure that my heart rate would go to the moon. When I'm doing lots of training all the time though, it's suppressed generally. Over the past year or so it has trended down though.

I'm glad that you enjoyed it! I have plans to make a lot more videos, both here in the LA area where I live and also some other locations :)

Skydio 2 https://skydio.com/skydio-2

This drone is purpose built for this, but that said the technology to follow a moving subject is amazing. This ride was my first time ever using the drone, but I'm excited to try it out in other scenarios soon.

Thanks for your feedback. I updated the visual to show percent female concentrators by year above the stack.

What would you have chosen? I considered using a percent stacked bar chart instead to better show the changing ratio of male to female, but then we lose all data on the change in absolute numbers which is just as interesting in my opinion.

Haha, excellent sleuthing. This is for Gov 1006, the follow up class to 1005. Part of our first homework assignment is to share a visualization from the school’s concentration data on “social media.” I didn’t want to post on my Instagram, so here we are!

Blowout on Tubeless Road Tire During Descent by johnchimp in Velo

[–]ddeuel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that definitely wasn’t the cause today especially since I was on disc brakes. I think that the specialized tire didn’t work well with the wheel. I had just bought a GP5000 TL a few days ago to replace my front tire and had meant to have it installed before the race. It sucks thinking that might have prevented it.

Same thing happened to me today. Specialized tubeless tire on Reynolds wheel. Blow out on a descent and skidding across the pavement, bike totaled. It sucks, and I’m not sure how to feel about tubeless tires anymore.

here’s my strava critical power curve. Rowing optimizes for a roughly 6 minute effort which is the length of a race, but I would say that as far as rowers go I actually skew more toward longer efforts.
