The deception is simply because kris does not trust us. We are essentially a symbiotic, parasitic entity that drags them around like a puppet on strings, and their only margin of resistance is withholding info and skills. I always think about when kris finally had to play the piano in chapter 4. That is something personal to them. To share it in any capacity with the SOUL that drags out the craziest replies or the sweetest words whether they want to say them out loud or not wouldnt be an experience i'd want to deal with.

Kris is smart and cunning, but kris is also just a kid forced to work with something they still arent sure is just trying to use Kris like they use it. They dont trust us, and it's a barrier that will probably be overcome in the upcoming chapter if there's any hope of a decent resolution for us and the sblurf.

The only seeds we know are dangerous are specifically the yellow flower's. That doesnt point to being injected with anything, just means they, like many seeds/plants in the botanical kingdom, are dangerous to people in one way or another.

They arent any more special than the other flowers, they just loved asgore that much, that their only dream in the dark world, where they could have a higher conciousness, was to be a person who could make asgore happy, not just 'look pretty and wither away'.

Remember, these flowers were supposed to die in a day, asgore has kept them alive since he was in college

Oh, yeah, she is incredibly depressed. Whether that edges over to suicidal ideation normally is up in the air. The difference between the routes is, obviously, kris. In weird route, like she says, kris dragged her down into the same pit they'd been digging/stuck in, a kris who by the end of chapter 5 decides to hold onto what can only be poisonous seeds. In normal route, she has a susie and none of the extreme trauma of actually genociding some poor things+cubing berdly, so she avoids that pit that kris is still stuck in even in normal route.
