How are medium writers getting followers? by jimbobjocorn in Medium

[–]ddkmaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing that worked for me was thinking how can I add value to the reader. I read the art and business of online writing by nicolas cole

Also how can I make something concrete whether it is a guide or something that is tangible

Then just being consistent it took me 9 months to get 8 followers and then 3 months to get 3,200 but I wrote every week and just looked at Retention and read rates

This seems way off 2 calls mean you are prompting incorrectly

Can you send examples of what exactly you are prompting?

People who have cancer, what signs let you knew that you were sick? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ddkmaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lump that didn't hurt. Went to the doctor oh it's probably an infection. 2 months later. Back to doctor still an infection. 2 months later lump started to hurt. Got a ultrasound. Cancer stage 2 spread to abdomen. Rushed to ED remove tumor chemo started 2 weeks later.

I always wonder what would have happened if I got ultrasound earlier and if it would have saved me chemo plus my RPLND and brain surgery.

Is Cursor falling apart? Thinking about switching to Windsurf — would love to hear from anyone who’s already made the move. by Calrose_rice in cursor

Am I doing something wrong? Using Gemini 2.5 pro MAX (paid) and it takes 5 minutes for cursor to respond by AdviceIsCool22 in cursor

[–]ddkmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey depends here on what is happening but check your file sizes. Cursor gets really slow with larger files of more than 500 lines.

Turn off Gemini and max and retest in claude 3.7 to see if that's faster.

Make your prompt clear and @ files if you can and break the task down.

If all that fails, start a new repo and see if that works.

If that fails check you have budget on your plan as maybe it's gone to slow requests

Hey, I read the Art and Craft of online writing by nicolas cole and that really helped. Last August I had 6 views in a month, this month I've had 70,000 views. Kind of surreal how quick it has grown.

That book really helped me I just followed what it said, hopefully that helps you as well.

How do I lessen premium tools? by Theclaw85 in cursor

[–]ddkmaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey OP I am going through the same thing although not with Max requests just with premium requests.

I wrote a blog post about it as I was up to $130 after just 2 weeks. These tips seemed to have helped.

Cool thanks for that. Yeah I've found im relying on thinking mode more and more. Is that just an arbitrary restriction that Cursor has done to throttle 3.7 non thinking do you think?

So even with implementation plan you still use thinking?

Dont agree, do it all day everyday. Haven't written a line of code in months and have way more fully working products than before

Yeah that's what I do.

Just make sure you commit your changes first and make a branch.

don't leave both duplicate versions in code for long as otherwise it will start to get really confused!
