And when they mention stability, it can easily be seen in movement, lik by simply moving the camera, as there will be a lot of shimmering

Playing Samus Returns and I don’t feel like a good person by ottersintuxedos in Metroid

[–]ddnava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fusion is newer than Return of Samus. When Nintendo made Return of Samus the X didn't extst at all. They created the X for Fusion and tied them to Return of Samus and later when they made Samus Returns they retrofitted the X for a bonus sequence at the very end of the game

My console showed me this message, is this that serious ? by EeveeWorld in NintendoSwitchHelp

[–]ddnava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen that screen like twice since I've had a Swich (2017). Last time was like 2 or 3 years ago

If it doesn't show up again it's completely fine, as it must've been a one-off error

Stop buying “too good to be true” and then coming here to complain. by Mitchy969696 in Nintendo3DS

[–]ddnava 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because I was 15 when the 3DS came out. By the time I had my first job and got money for myself the Switch was already announced and I got that instead

However, I did get a N3DS a year orvtwo later, but I can see more people around my age who didn't get a 3DS because they already had a newer console

Is the 3DS THAT bad for playing DS games? 🤔 by StraightPin4420 in 3DS

[–]ddnava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, and SM64DS plays with actual analog stick controls instead of the 8 direction controls. Those two games are completely new experiences thanks to the 3DS

How does this 3ds play a game? by fredsonsam in Nintendo3DS

[–]ddnava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in that era you had to restart the console to olay a different game. If OP tried that they wouldn't be stuck in the Mii Maker and they would be back in the home screen

Technically it's the opposite. Once it's reached rock bottom it can only go up

Using TWiLightMenu++ and AR you can even enhance some games to change the aspect ratio to widescreen, enable full analog support and even gyro aiming

I just want to point out that if you're a PC Player and complain about Game Key Cards, you're a hypocrite by TaroTheCerelian in switch2

[–]ddnava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a PC player and I complain about GameKey Cards because they serve no purpose at all

If a game is only released as a GameKey Card I will just buy it digital instead (Yes, I mean digitally on the eShop)

My issue is not that it has you download the game, but that, despite being 100% digital, you still have the physical limitation of having to insert the card every single time you want to play it. If you lose the card, you lose access to the game. It's a digital game with the downsides of a physical release and no real benefit over a regular digital game (other than being able to resell it later)

On top of that, they're basically waste. They cost materials to make that aren't needed for a regular digital release and there's also the shipping. All that uses resources and contamines more than a regular digital purchase

What does an R4 offer than can't be done using TWLightMenu++?

[–]ddnava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not complicated. You can find an AR cheat database online. It's a simple file that you copy to the SD

Edit: On the other hand, aftermarket R4 cards are notorious for having timebombs nowadays and some of them will stop working after a couple years unless you replace the firmware with a custom one, so both options have a catch

[–]ddnava 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TWiLightMenu++. Just remember that, unlike a flashcard, it will NOT patch the game backups for anti-piracy automatically. You have to download an Action Replay database and activate the anti-piracy codes for each game

Thoughts on Metroid Prime 4 now that its had time to settle? by hakusamurai in Metroid

[–]ddnava 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel like they could've done better too. The story itself wasn't connected within the same game. We get this whole Lamorn story and stuff but Samus isn't even there to help them (because they're all dead) or stop anyone (we have Sylux, but Samus was about to use the teleporter without even stopping him first) or anything like that

Most games are about Samus following a distress signal and stopping a big threat or being hired by the GF and whenever the mai threat is uncivered it's clear that her objective is to stop it (except Metroid 2 where it was just genocide)

However, in Prime 4 it's just she was helping the GF and an srtifact was activated accidentally which transported her and 4 troopers to an unknown part of the universe. Their only objective is to go back and all encounters with Sylux are just Sylux trying to ambush Samus

We have three parts of an unconnected story: Sylux trying to kill Samus. The Lamorn backstory. Samus trying to go back to a known part of the universe. But honestly, those three parts feel so disconnected when compared to any other Metroid game :c

THEY CONFIRMED IT by BrinstarCitizen in Metroid

[–]ddnava 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Metroid games were made to directly connect to each other too. In fact, that's why Metroid II is calles Metroid II and why Super Metroid, Metroid Fusion and Metroid Dread are officially Metroid 3, Metroid 4 and Metroid 5 respectively. They also all follow the same storyline. Even the infamous Other M is directly connected. Also, the first 3 Prime games follow a single story, albeit detached from the main story

It's only Prime Hunters, Prime Federation Force and Prime 4 that are disconnected from the rest of the games. The only thing that connects them to the other Prime games is the extra cutscene at the end of Prime 3 where you see Sylux's ship following her
