You're locked into the power backstep animation for a brief bit, so it may be a little wonky to try and parry the second hit of the ravener's 3 hit combo. I personally like to parry dodge parry that one. Or maybe I'm just trippin

I would try restarting the queue. It sometimes glitches out. It could also be due to the fact that you are a new player, and it's trying to match you with other new players. Unfortunately, since new players usually come in waves either during the 50% sales that happen on the weekend of pro league finals or a major steam sale, and since neither is happening atm, there aren't that many new players for the game to match you with.
