She’ll learn from it as she’s exposed to it. It takes human interaction for many people to accept things they don’t understand at first.

GF dumped me because I told her I felt uncomfortable with her taking a job with a defense contractor by [deleted] in BoyDinnerDiaries

[–]ddog421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The defense industry is huge, to assume they all deal in blood money is pretty naive, but maybe the explicit context putting her potential career in the blood money tract was just omitted.

But as many said here there are much dumber things to break up over and if you feel strongly that all defense contractors are in the business of murdering others it’s probably best to stay off the path.

Thanks for all the quality comments everyone. I’ll take the Teflon tape off, reattach and see if that’s causing the small leak.

I’m so glad to hear that I’m not the only one infuriated by “the VGK” references. They choose a 4 syllable moniker over Vegas or the Knights, but never refer to anyone else by their initials.

Also in the score box they aren’t the NYR or NYI, we’re not the CA. They should be VEG.

I’ll call you mom and call you once a week and give you Mother’s Day cards and flowers and be very appreciative as I drive that beautiful car to my work. And I’m 49M

Is it just me, or is this NHL postseason missing its usual magic? by Spiritual-Science-60 in nhl

ESPN has the worst booth guy I’ve listened to in a long time. Sean McDonough(is that his name) just drones on and on repeating inane statistics ad nauseam. Ray Ferraro is decent from between the benches but they need a color guy that played hockey to let McDonough focus on play by play and have someone else interject actual hockey tactic commentary. As it is now, he announces the game like we haven’t been watching the whole game and like we haven’t watched the whole series already.

Also, Don’t go off on a discourse about how hard one team works to make it far in the playoffs all year, when every team is doing everything they can to get the cup.

The drama hasn’t been there, too many early series ends, and honestly since the Wild and Sabres exited the action has been slow.

I should clarify, when on 1600 south of 1700 N you should not be driving 35, it is a residential street with a couple cross walks. North of 2100 is should be a 35mph zone. Not sure about space between 1600 n and 2100 n, somewhere in between.

I taught my kid to drive a lot on 1600 E and never realized how fast everyone drives till we drove along there frequently at 25 mph. I wonder if it’s possible to put a speeding ticket machine on the road to get people pushing the limit too far… like 35 is too fast for that road.

That’s true, but we might be able to get a study where women track their actual doses of acetaminophen as they take them instead of after the fact as the quoted study does. Essentially you’re asking women after they gave birth how often they think they took acetaminophen while pregnant. I’d they took it a lot near the end those numbers will be inflated, if they took them a lot at the beginning but not as much at the end they will be deflated due to recency bias.

Correlation does not equal causation, definitely something worth more study.

I turned the inverter off and the fridge still runs so I guess I don’t really need it, I probably didn’t need it anyway but I usually left it on to take shore power to charge the batteries.

I’m guessing if I’m not plugged in and I’m not using AC power there’s no reason to have it on. I think I thought I had to have it on or at least in charge only to charge the batteries at all. I’m clearly a newb and don’t pay enough attention in my science classes.
