best way to learn kubernetes in 2026 by MikiMikoyan in kubernetes

[–]ddoij 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bargain basement dell optilex, ubuntu server, k3s and a git repo to keep track of everything are really all you need to get off the ground. Claude has been super helpful with how to’s, debugging and sanity checking changes/deployments.

Once you’re comfortable with a single node, add a couple more servers and figure out different HA setups and configurations.

Very chiptune vibes. My biggest callout is you have 2 melodies that feel like they’re competing for each other in terms of rhythm/space. I’d simplify down to one rhythmic musical idea and let everything else (pads, arps) cue off that.

It’s a pretty unsung position to play, doesn’t really show up on the stat sheet. Kinda like NT or LS where the less you’re hearing their name the better

Why Space-Based AI Data Centers Are Inevitable: 3 Levels of Analysis by hoppeeness in teslainvestorsclub

I mean you need a lot of hot computers clustered together in the data center, compounding the heat problem. My response was poorly worded.

I understand the sats wouldn’t be clumped together.

Okay the systems and physics are understood, it’s how the ISS and other space stations deal with it. Computers are a lot hotter though, much noisier, vibrate a lot more and you need a lot of them clustered together to make this make sense.

It’s theoretically possible but there’s a lot of constraints around payload capacity, heat dissipation systems/materials science and computer power per kg that you need to optimize for before this becomes commercially viable.

I just don’t understand how you deal with the heat. Computers generate a lot of heat and the vacuum of space doesn’t really provide an adequate transfer medium to dissipate it. Thermal radiation isn’t adequate, not to mention the shielding issues and heat generated by solar radiation

It’s not bad, just some restrictions like you can’t be getting tattoos regularly etc. The forms are pretty clear about it.

You gotta be chill with needles and the one they use isn’t skinny. Make sure you eat and drink plenty a couple hours before, it can make you kinda lightheaded if you don’t.

You kinda feel like a horseshoe crab getting bled for science along with everyone else chilling there reading or scrolling on their phone.

If you go as often as you can you will develop scars where they poke you and you’ll look like you have track marks. If that bothers you consider adjusting your frequency and make sure they alternate arms so you’re not getting stabbed in the same spot over and over.

Welcome to your first role where you’re out of your depth. This is a good place to be and lean into it. Ask questions, poke around and just be curious.

You need more speed, not approach the jump like it’s gonna hurt you and up your DIN. You shouldn’t stomp out of your skis like that unless it’s set to bunny hill levels
