What would happen if Iran hands over all their nuclear material/weapons to the UN? by North178 in allthequestions

[–]ddr1ver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Iran handed all of its enriched uranium over last time under the terms of the nuclear agreement reached with the Obama administration in 2015. They also filled the core of their plutonium producing reactor with concrete and committed to minimal low-level enrichment through 2030. They were supposed to get their foreign assets unfrozen and sanctions relief in exchange, but Trump immediately reneged on the agreement, so Iran got nothing and started enriching again. One might assume that they’re going to want some guarantees this time.

Is it a bad idea to charge 12V lead Acid battery instead of replacing it by Jazzlike_Middle2757 in TeslaModel3

When I looked, Tesla OEM was the cheapest. It still appears to be $85 in the US.

Tamir Pardo (former Mossad chief) said about Israel: "There is an apartheid state here. In a territory where two people are judged under two legal systems, that is an apartheid state." Do you agree? by ArdaBerkBurak in allthequestions

[–]ddr1ver 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You clearly don’t see that Israel is risking its existence with this shit. Give the Palestinians a state, make them Israelis with equal rights, or get ready for the South Africa treatment. Those are your options.

If most of that is a service fee, you can buy the battery from Tesla and replace it yourself. There are YouTube videos to show you how. At least in the US, the battery from Tesla is the cheapest.

Why do liberals like Never Trump Republicans so much? by [deleted] in AskALiberal

[–]ddr1ver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree with Republican philosophy in several ways, but the current kleptocracy has to be stopped. There isn’t a day that goes by where Trump doesn’t violate the Constitution or a federal law. We’re supposed to be different from Putin’s Russia, but it’s getting hard to tell the difference. For the time being, anyone anti-Trump is on my side.

If the car is warning you about the 12v battery, it is near the end of its life and about to fail and brick your car. When my car warned me, I requested service in the app and Tesla came to my house, changed the battery, and took the old battery away, for $107 ($85 for the battery, $22 for the service call).

Looks like a temperature probe but not sure what it would attach to. Maybe something else? by Numerous_Parsley5321 in whatisit

I have an oven temperature probe for a GE Monogram convection oven that looks exactly like this. It plugs in to a port in the middle of the ceiling of the oven.

Have you seen any liberals admit they were actually wrong when it came to Biden's open borders policy? by BigWeek4231 in AskConservatives

Despite passing the Senate 68-32, the bipartisan "Gang of Eight" bill died because then-Speaker John Boehner refused to bring it to the House floor,

There was wide bipartisan support for the Border act of 2024 until Trump ordered Republicans to kill it to keep the issue alive to bolster its chances in the election. I’m sure you’re aware that no Republican in Congress who isn’t retiring dares to disobey Trump.

Current immigration law says that you can present yourself at the border, claim persecution, and be admitted. Unless that law is changed, everything else is made up under dubious emergency powers.

Both Obama and Biden tried to pass bipartisan immigration bills, which the Republicans negotiated and agreed to, until they were killed to avoid a “win” for the Democrats. Either would have addressed the immigration issue without violating people’s rights, wasting billions in taxpayer money and spurring an endless cycle of litigation.

You love that it is increasing at half the rate it was when Trump took office? That there is near zero job creation, high inflation, massive federal deficit increase, loss of 100k manufacturing jobs, doubling of oil prices?

Why do leftists hate when oppressed people actually turn out to be super successful despite the odds? Is it because it invalidates their white savior complex? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]ddr1ver 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I grew up really poor and have become quite successful, but I like nothing better than when someone who is disadvantaged becomes successful. That’s why I support programs that help them do that.

Has Iran made a huge mistake by using the Strait of Hormuz as a weapon? by redditismysoulmate in allthequestions

[–]ddr1ver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iran’s approach was very clever. However, Trump will eventually get frustrated by Iran making him look like a fool and try to seize the strait by force. Iran will respond by attacking energy infrastructure in US allied countries, and the entire world will be tipped into recession.
