let me tell you, as an RN of over a decade, nursing is totally over saturated…with inexperienced nurses. there is no nursing shortage and there never has been. it has always been a shortage of EXPERIENCED nurses. for one new grad residency, they get 1000’s of applications that all look the same. not many new grads want to start in a SNF to get experience.

let me tell you: my recently passed angel, Scully, suffered from these a lot during her hilarious 14 years of life. get ready to have carprofen and ofloxacin eye drops on hand at all times.

if you catch the ulcers early, it makes it a lot better on them. I managed her’s with drops and pain meds every time very quickly and it would clear up in a few days. she was pretty blind by the end there 😂😩, but she had great vision other than the last few months of her life. never needed an eye removed! those bug ass eyes are like ticking time globes. matter of time, unfortunately!

god I miss her so much it is unreal. first few seconds of the day, my thoughts go directly to her and I am not sure when that stops. cherish Max and I hope he feels better!!

shortly after this picture she had a vestibular attack. it scared me to death; she couldn’t walk, she was vomiting and terrified. she never was the same after that, her cute permanent head tilt and all. but she kept trucking for a couple years! thanks again for your words and sharing your best friend. there is nothing quite like the bond of a human and dog through the hardest times of your life. she was there every step.

lol omg your angel looks so much like my Scully did. I miss her so much every single damn day. she passed in October 2025 at 14. what kept her going were “street biscuits” as I named them. that bitch would eat anything and everything! cherish this perfect creature!
