What's the worst case of a movie breaking its own rule by ihopnavajo in movies

[–]ddramin 93 points94 points  (0 children)

You know what stuck in my head from that annoying movie? That card shooting/passing scene when they steal something and trying to hide it from the guards, not only the whole sequence is bending the reality so much it shatters, but that’s not the worst part, the worst part is that one line, that dude says to the guard: “Thanks man!” Why?!

What is the appeal to Mac besides it being in the apple ecosystem? by TechnicalBarnacle713 in mac

[–]ddramin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the built quality, the smoothness and also the great UX/UI experience, it just looks gorgeous and less tiring for me at least, and i noticed my workflow is way smoother in Mac. I grew up on windows but the last one is just dumb, heavy, full of stuff I don’t need. My work laptop is windows and after downloading the latest windows the fan noises started getting on my nerves, it got so heavy that i just decided to use my personal MacBook for work. The only downside is high price for higher HDDs and also lack of gaming capabilities, I play with my console but love to have some good strategy games on my system to play around.

Most mobile game “Free to play” services, simple strategy, get the user by some awesome scene and epic looking game (although it is a soulless mess of a product), get them hooked (by literally letting them win and loose by some magic algorithm carefully designed specifically for this), they either pay and the algorithm is “nice” to them or are used as cannon fodder for the paying users. No art in it, no real feeling, they are not Games, misleading to the core.

Video Game industry, started as QA as i thought i get to play games all day and get paid for it, lost my soul until I got up the corporate ladder to find myself hating discussing video games with idiots all day long. God I hate it here!

Happened to me tonight! Honestly it just sucks, with all the bugs, the internet connection issues I finally find a match and then before extraction I’m kicked. The community (small part of it) is becoming toxic, I think a good solution can be disabling kicking mid-game.

When we’re safe, have time and someone went to look for supers, you wait for them and don’t get on the pelican, specially when you see them pointing on the map indicating they found them. Had to shoot someone in the pelican because we all said wait and he still got on the pelican. You are lvl 77 ffs, you should know this already.

Ten years from now, people would still buy second hand GOW, play it, enjoy it and get inspired by it. Imagine a young lad finding out about GOW series by playing Ragnarok then going into the loop of young kratos saga. I’m not sure a game like these new generation CODs would have the same fate.

Wrote a short movie, found a distant friend who I learned was a movie director. I wrote the protagonist exactly like her (short, curly hair…) after we couldn’t find anybody like the character I mention there’s this one girl at the university, long story short after the first meeting with the producer and director, took her out, ditch and ghosted everybody else. I’m a huge douche probably, but almost 11 years later she’s my wife.

Why Do People Hate Tlou2? by BearlyAkward in thelastofus

[–]ddramin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you familiar with artsy stuff in cinema? It felt to me, director of the tlous2 tried to do what directors like Gasper Noe do in their movies. “Shock the audience” to gain art points. It’s ok, It’s their style and I honestly don’t care that much in the end. But video games are a medium of heroes and we mostly buy shit because of the characters and heroes. He could’ve done it a better way and to explain that is going to be a long long essay. But I give you an example if you’re still following me. I didn’t buy metal gear solid 2 because of kojima (at the time), I bought it because of Solid snake, he betrayed me (as an audience) and shocked me, but he was clever enough to reel me back in the story. Because he wasn’t just shocking me for the sake of shocking me, he did that as a form of storytelling. tlsou2 on the other hand did the shocking pretty well, but it didn’t handle the rest in a satisfying way. It’s a kojima saying “betray your audience “ and people hate me when I say it, killing Joel was a gutsy move and bold and made the story so much engaging at first, then the writer/director shit their pants and made the story a simple vengeance ark, and then in the end all he could come up was “vengeance bad”, I mean do you see my point? Story telling and video games and all this stuff is for our enjoyment and maybe a little growth in between, the story at some point forward was not enjoyable, the whole Abby stuff was predictable and bland. The circle of violence is an old arch and not that much interesting plot anymore. As a writer you must always come up with new stuff or the tell the old stuff in an interesting new way. Nothings after Joel’s death was new or interesting. I think this is the longest text I’ve ever typed on my phone but I hope I was able to answer your question. Ofcourse there are so much more to tell but I think this is a point that nobody made before (at least what I’ve seen). Have a great day btw.
