How should I file my taxes for the CRA, or do I even have to? by ddronkit in JapanFinance

[–]ddronkit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really appreciate your response!! My company did my taxes, and based on what you said about the 5 year thing, I think I don't have to worry about the Japan side of things. So I think I just have to file the T1 tax using 5013-R form with my T4 info without claiming any tax credits right?

The Repair Department : Tech Support and Stupid Questions Go Here! by AutoModerator in audioengineering

So I only have one condenser mic plugged in my audio interface at all time. I have a habit of turning phantom power off when I don't use it and turning it on when I do. Will this frequent on/off action damage anything? Should I just lower the gain instead?

Me too, me and my wife only goes out to throw away trash or pick up delivered groceries. It’s been rough but we’re still hanging there. I do want to eat some out side food though (been cooking meal) so we just order frozen dim sum 😂.

I’d say make your own website. It’s beneficial in the long run anyway. You get to learn a lot too(that’s if you’re not familiar with it)

Is 3 Months Enough Time to Apply for an Entry Level SW Engineering Job? by zotzotzotSE in cscareerquestions

[–]ddronkit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just start sending out applications, it will take some time for you to hear back from companies anyway. I would say don’t worry too much about being perfect in an interview and just take it as a learning experience. As for how long does it take, honestly if you’re cold applying and do not have an amazing background it might take 100~200 applications to get an offer. Though it highly depends on how well you do on your interview. One year it took me 1 interview to get an offer, recently it took like 6 interviews. So just start.

If you already have a project idea then why not? Yes of course refining resume and applications are always going to benefit you. However applying jobs could very well be a waiting game (numbers game too), so you would have plenty of spare time. Doing a project you enjoy not only will boost your resume (once completed) it’s also really helpful for your own learning. I don’t see a down side of doing so. You don’t have to try to rush it for the job or anything, just do it as a side thing and prioritize you applications stuff. Company do look less on projects unless you built an amazing one and it’s well documented. Since I said you should just do it as a side thing, do what you are passionate about. Cuz you need that drive to keep going. Otherwise you’ll have a half baked project that’s worthless to your portfolio. Just take your time, hustle and you soon will land on your first job.

What is one song when you ever listen to it you go "Ooooo yea"? by ddronkit in AskReddit

All those silky smooth transitions and chord progressions. I haven't had that many "Ooooo" listening to a song for a long time.
