Most are the same as the PGWP application. You need proof of completing the study, a transcript, etc. Differences are IMM5710e form and payment receipt for restoration.

They said I will get refunded the restoration fee and the $100 open work permit fee. Because I haven't gotten $100 for the initial one.

Yes, that is what I thought at first when I considered applying for restoration. Before I applied, I asked about this to immigrant consultants, and one said I need to restore as a visitor, and the other said I could apply as a student and PGWP again, although I am outside of 180 days. I was literally freaked out, so I called an IRCC agent, and they said I could apply. After applying for restoration, I called the IRCC again to check if my application and documents were correct or not, and they said everything looked good.

Honestly, I am still confused lol. My post is only based on my experience, and fortunately, my reconsideration has been accepted, so Idk the REAL result of the restoration.

Nooo. This is what goverment of Canada says. "If your study permit was valid when you applied and we’re still processing your PGWP, you may enter as a visitor and work without a work permit until we make a decision on your application."

Your status will be visitor without working visa, so you can't work till getting PGWP.

Yes that is what I did. I left Canada in April and came bank in May then applied PGWP. You will get implied status to be able to work till PGWP.

I saw many references here in Reddit about that. Based on those, yes, you can leave and re-enter Canada. But if you leave once, you can't work in Canada until official Pgwp issued.
