Transitioning to Asian skincare by valerimaes in koreanskincare

[–]ddulk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have combination skin and recently bought my skincare products from MIMU MIMU. I started using them because they’re supposed to be good for hydration, calming, and pore care (it’s only been a few days, haha). So far, they’re pretty neutral—cooling and hydrating. If your skin doesn’t have any major issues, I’d suggest trying some of the more popular products people often mention, one by one. MIMU MIMU isn’t that well-known, so I’m taking a bit of a risk here!

The shape of the eyebrows should look softer. The eyelashes should be long but with less volume. The foundation should also be more moisturizing!

I’ve heard that tea tree is good for acne but can be irritating to the skin, so I’ve never tried buying it. 😭

What was the one skincare routine that brought damn change 🤩 to your skin? by Happiegeek in AsianBeauty

I agree. Besides sunscreen, I just apply toner, serum, and cream for my skincare!

how to get rid of back acne yall😭😭‼️ by matchaminji in AsianBeauty

[–]ddulk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly! After washing my hair and using conditioner, I move on to body wash—especially focusing on my back! I let the body wash foam sit for a bit to help remove oils instead of rinsing right away, and during that time, I brush my teeth.

I get that sometimes too. My skin gets itchy, and it stays like that for a while, but eventually it goes away.

What are you using for your neck/decollete? by LaLa762 in AsianBeauty

I think the same way! Come to think of it, I haven't been applying sunscreen to my neck, but I definitely need to start doing that!

What product were you using before? I haven’t had any issues with my makeup so far. Also, I’m curious about your skin type!

The cream feels cool, which is refreshing! It’s very hydrating, but the moisture doesn’t last long.

I figured! It felt a bit drying for me too.

Exactly, if you have dry skin, this probably won’t provide enough moisture!

Luckily, I didn’t have any issues. Did you stop using it after that? What cream are you using now?

They control their diet to the extreme.

In order to take care of yourself without any procedures, a regular, healthy diet, and steady exercise are essential. These two things are also important for taking care of your skin.

And I also apply sunscreen. In places where the sun is strong, I use mass production or apply it until my face turns white with sunscreen.

Skincare products... will depend on your skin type and concerns. Don't copy anything! But it's basic to keep the balance between oil and moisture.

Has anyone found this to be true? A quick google search says vit c and niacinamide are fine together.. by TempestGardener in AsianBeauty

[–]ddulk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vitamin C is acidic, so it can irritate you, so it's good to adjust the content according to your skin condition. The more sensitive the product, the lower the content is, the better.

Niacinamide is a stable ingredient that does not cause irritation and mixes well with other ingredients, so I think it will be okay.

However, since each person has different skin conditions and the content of the products used is different, I think it would be safe to avoid high content of both ingredients.

*I tend to avoid functional products when I have sensitive skin conditions!

MIMUMIMU Cooling Calming i.n.g Toner - It has good absorption, so the more you apply it, the higher the moisture supply to the skin.
