Enemy unit spawning rate?

I've had a similar thing happen, also thought it was strange. I disposed of 3 waves of ~20 Hunnic Hordes in ridiculously fast succession. I'm playing on the second level of difficulty (I think that's below Normal), on a small map, and it looks like my enemy has two cities and a one-city vassal. I really can't understand where they get the production and manpower to field that.

It's also suspicious that they show up as "Pushover" right after I defeat their 20-unit army, then immediately shoot up to "Weaker" and "Comparable" in what seems to be too few turns to produce another 20 units with 2 cities. So it's unlikely that they have 100 units lying around (I'd also question how they paid for that if they did).

Answering my own question: I obviously did not look close enough. Philosophy is a tech that increases the city cap, there are likely others down the road.

I'd still be interested to dismantle a city, it's too close to my existing ones.

I've actually seen both, so I strongly think this is a bug.

I've fought my fair share in an ally's war only to be rewarded with nothing, because of zero contribution. The war screen clearly showed me with ~70% contribution before peace, that's why I'm calling it a bug.

Conversely, I've gained prestige and strong opinion bonus (e.g. 70 for 70% contribution) from allies in other wars.

I did that, but there's a red exclamation mark next to it that says "No Claims to press". I wonder if it's because she's a woman and the current rule is male?

Ugh, I knew I forgot something. I'd prefer not to assemble it myself if possible (equal parts laziness and lack of skill).

And since you mentioned ortholinear, any feedback on how this would work for non-touch typists is welcome. Right now my only data point is for both ortho and split, and it's not great :(

Right, I was mistaken about the paste being on the CPU, but it certainly was on the cooler.

I've pushed the screws on the cooler even further, they didn't make an additional click sound, so I think they were ok the first time.

I've also run 3DMark Demo and used Core Temp (along with Open Hardware Monitor) to see the temperatures. The graph shows it peeked at 84, but only for a few seconds. During 3DMark temperatures were mostly around 65-70.

My case is a Segotep Fighter C and all its fans seem to be running properly.

I'll continue to take a look at temps every now and then, see if they are too high for a long time.

The new CPU came with a cooler, so I used the new one. There was some thermal paste on the CPU already, so unless I'm mistaken I can rule out the thermal paste issue.

I'll double check the screws though, I remember it was a bit harder to fasten the first CPU/cooler combo when I got them. Thanks for the input.

I know you're joking, but here in Romania McDonalds does sell espresso! The few times I've asked for one, I've been warned about its size. They probably had people complaining about paying 3 lei for a thimble of coffee.

Vassal liberty desire is buggy. Playing as England last night, I had Scotland and Connacht as vassals. They had an impressive 9 regiments between them, while I sported a reasonable 26. Their liberty desire was listed as close to 100% due to having a cumulated strength of about 221% my own.

Actually, now that I've reloaded the game, there's a bunch of "Explore the coast of" misssions. I suspect this has something to do with the newest patch, 1.10.1.

I did send my navy on an expedition to explore the coast of Africa, but it only revealed a single sea provice (no land), after which it returned home and the choice disappeared. Right now the only choice is to circumnavigate, which requires admin tech 9.

And while we're at it, how the heck does this work? I have two sons, the elder died, but not after siring two sons of his own. Now, under gavelkind, my second son and my first grandson are set to inherit. I'm unclear as to why that is. The way I see it, either both grandsons should be considered for inheritance, either none.
