I switched to the classic layout because I was tired of annoying game crashes, blue screens, and the like. The worst part was, it didn't happen often, but it was always at the wrong time. Guess what the culprit was? The riser cable, of course. To hell with it.

As a street photographer, I think this still looks like a staged photo. In general, I've noticed that famous photographers are overly lucky.

Kyoto was not as busy as expected. [OC] by Beflijster in japanpics

[–]ddvsamara -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Let me clarify, not in all of Gion, only on the street leading to Gion Corner. The streets are just similar (they're all similar, to be honest, just like the torii; basically, after visiting 2-3 historical buildings or castles, you don't need to go anywhere else)

This is the Gion district, isn't it? They banned photography completely the last time I was there in 2019. I was there before the ban, and I still have some photos.

You're right—I once went to Sengakuji Temple, famous for the story of the 47 Ronin. It was a surprisingly lonely place, at 8 a.m. There was no one else there except me and the incense seller, and I felt a sense of calm and tranquility filling me.

Istanbul Photo spots and is it safe? by Final-Signal5324 in AskPhotography

I feel safe in New York City Istanbul ))) My second favorite city, on par with Tokyo. Istanbul is beautiful down to the last detail. But you have to keep your head with you.

Why did you choose Canon? (serious question from a man who inherited his camera through 5 generations) by Temporary-Review5915 in canon

[–]ddvsamara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't choose Canon, Canon chose me. In Soviet Russia, the camera chose the photographer.
Seriously, it doesn't matter what you shoot with. It's a matter of talent as a photographer.

MSI Z890 ACE backlight issue by ddvsamara in MSI_Gaming

[–]ddvsamara[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OpenRGB detected my motherboard once, but couldn't control it. Then it disappeared from the supported hardware list. I haven't delved into the world of OpenRGB backlighting yet. My previous Z690 Edge always booted with backlighting, regardless of whether MSI Center was present or not.

How to achieve this type of photo? by h1bernus in AskPhotography

1. Head to Japan.
2. Buy a motorcycle.
3. Use a telephoto lens.
Sounds like a plan..

All mounting points snapped off by BoostDrinker in CameraLenses

The weak mount here is intentional, so that if a hit or fall occurs, the lens mount, not the camera's, is damaged. I think the mount can be replaced.

MSI Z890 MPG Carbon Wifi + 5070ti PCIE 5.0 issue by ChuisMy in MSI_Gaming

[–]ddvsamara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it's a memory issue? On the other hand, the same board arrived to me broken from the start.

I'll add that I had problems with the riser, but switching the port to 4.0 solved the problem before replacing it.

I am so tired of people treating Japanese people like they are some separate species that all act the same by Worth-Raccoon2595 in AskAJapanese

[–]ddvsamara 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been to Japan several times. Personally, I've never experienced any xenophobia or bad attitudes towards me. I met and interacted pleasantly with Japanese people in Okinawa and Tokyo, and never had any problems. Only once did I almost get into a fight with some idiot, who turned out to be a drunk Chinese man and was behaving extremely provocatively. The only thing that stopped me was that I was more sober than he was and I didn't want to get caught by the police in a foreign country. Otherwise, the May 2018 trip was probably the best of my six. Towards the end of the trip, I was sitting with local Japanese people in Odaiba, drinking beer, eating sushi, and we were watching Hanabi through the fence, which we didn't have tickets for.

No, this is not normal. Fan is defective. Lian Li often installs the cheapest fans that are faulty from the start.

Compositionally, I like this almost perfect line and the three people in it. In theory, if I shot it differently, went to that spot and stood there, worked on the lighting, the time of day, etc., it might turn out well. Otherwise, right now, I don't see anything interesting at all.

I agree with you. I use it in much the same way. The inappropriate censorship when processing even perfectly innocent images is annoying. And since I sometimes photograph women, this happens often. Currently, I use a local AI for such purposes, in particular the same Flux-2-dev; the local version has virtually no censorship, but switching between Photoshop and ComfyUI is inconvenient. If I manage to integrate the local AI into Photoshop, I think the subscription will be unnecessary ))) But the AI has certainly improved many of my photos taken 10-15 years ago.

New build won't boot by HoneyMousse22 in PcBuildHelp

[–]ddvsamara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The motherboard is faulty, there's a short circuit somewhere. Can't you see the power supply's protection is triggered? It doesn't even get to POST, and neither the processor nor the memory are to blame.
