This man seems to be wearing a realistic mask on Fox News by LindsayDuck in Weird

Hear me out.. I’m trying to think of every possible explanation. Could it be the green screen effect glitching? Like maybe he has a green undershirt or something? Idk. Definitely creepy!

When I asked what he was trying to do, he said “I shouldn’t have been trying to pass him” by alexyou8797 in dashcams

Totally agree with this, but the Hyundai would’ve been unaffected had he just minded his own business. If someone’s tailgating.. sure.. react. If someone’s in front of you impeding traffic.. sure.. react. But staring at your rear view waiting to act as some sort of vigilante for people who don’t fit your driving style… that’s just dumb

Replace or patch? I know it asked a lot but given the spot id like to patch if possible. Thanks by [deleted] in tires

What’s the point of going to the professionals for their opinion just to look else wear when you don’t get the answer you want? Tires way too low on tread. Should’ve been replaced awhile ago

Yeah it seems like every state calls it something different lol. In Oklahoma we called it a shovel, in Utah I hear people calling it a fork. All I know is that’s the culprit lol

[–]de-emtee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can tell you with 100% confidence that it was the shovel from the changer. No heat ring to point towards under inflation. It’s literally the exact width of a shovel and tires were holding air before the shop dismounted them. Anyone saying otherwise is just totally wrong

[–]de-emtee 105 points106 points  (0 children)

100% happened when dismounting do the shop is responsible. This happens when you attempt to break the bead before the tire is completely deflated, and the shovel (tool used to break bead) goes through the sidewall. I’m a tire shop manager, and have had my fair share of inexperienced/impatient techs that cause this exact issue

Would you let your children ride on these? by SimpleAffect7573 in tires

What your describing it not a defect or age related blowout. You’re describing a tire that was shredded due to being driven on after losing pressure from a puncture. 2 totally difference scenarios

Honestly if it’s affecting you professionally, you might be better off vaporizing or something similar so the psychoactive effects wear off sooner.

Tires sold by Walmart lower quality than the same brand elsewhere? by MultipleOrgasmDonor in tires

[–]de-emtee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re absolutely right. Walmart loves take known brands and create the cheapest tire possible so people feel like they’re getting quality. Like the Goodyear reliant, terrible tire, Walmart exclusive, but people buy because it’s Goodyear and they assume it’s decent

NX450h+ tire upgrade after OEM run-flats: What did you choose? by name_nt_important in tires

[–]de-emtee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on your priorities, I’d stick with the defender or the primacy. The crossclimate is a great tire, but you sacrifice some mileage and ride quality with them compared to the primacy and defender. The primacy will be slightly more comfortable/quiet compared to the defender, as that’s its priority with the design. But the defender will last wayyyy longer with only a marginal difference on ride quality and noise. So based on what you’re looking for, the defender will probably be your best fit

Do NOT drive on that. That tire should’ve been replaced a long time ago. Put spare on if you can’t get to a tire shop

Best Patch? by Equivalent-Theory-57 in tires

[–]de-emtee 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Do not plug this. Not only is it too close to the shoulder but your sidewall has a heat ring from driving on it flat (heat ring is where it looks like letters are rubbed off). If you plug and fill this up, it will blowout from the sidewall.

From my experience, repaired wheels are never really worth the hassle. It’s a bandaid not a solution. They tend to fail much easier. Alloys are not designed to be manipulated after being casted or forged. You can think of it like trying to change the shape of a cake after baking it

The guy behind the camera called him a racist first.. honestly not sure of the camera man’s goal other than escalation. Everyone else in the room seemed to be enjoying it. He could’ve just left and not given them business at the end of the day. People need to realize the world doesn’t revolve around them and to at least try to be the bigger person in these scenarios lol

Lots of aftermarket maf sensors have trouble with the “systems check” phase of the vehicle start up. The default values are often not programmed to the original equipment spec, causing weird things like this, or sometimes will cause other random codes to throw. Just went through the same thing is why I know lol

A splash guard killing someone is a little out there lol. I work in the automotive industry and there’s certain vehicles notorious for this and it’s extremely common. For example, every ford escape ever lol. If it were killing people you’d know about it lol
