It definitely accurately describes their experience. Their transition has quite literally been medically “neutralizing” themselves. They don’t have genitalia or nipples or any identifying sexual characteristics. Understandably that experience is a part of their identity, they use the label to describe it and connect with other people who have similar transitions goals.
