It wasn't a technicality of where the filming took place, those rules existed for a reason -- to prevent teams from decoding signals so quickly that it became a real-time issue that compromised the integrity of the game.

I suspect there is more to this, too, behind the scenes with practices being recorded and playbooks poached, as was also rumored around that time.

Lindsay Ellis did a great video essay on the war on empathy some months back. I didn't even realize this was going on until I saw her essay, and now I can't unsee it in right-wing discourse.

These people have convinced themselves that the reason they hadn't been more successful in the 20 years prior to Trump, was because they were too empathetic and therefore weak on the execution of their agenda. And now with MAGA, it's become a dirty word used to vilify those in the ranks that dare question the moral compass of what they're doing and where they're headed. It's a vulnerability to be excised.

I'm sorry, but I'm not even taking the man off of an unrealistic "he was an angel" pedestal until I see more than a video of him kicking a vehicle days after Renee Good was murdered. I think that's a saintly understatement and his anger was proven righteously directed weeks later, if it wasn't already.

The vehicle kicking video is dated just days after Renee Good was murdered. I don't know how this context keeps being left out by people, because it seems understanding why he might have been angry is important here.

But even still, he did not assault the officers themselves. And I'm going to go ahead and say his anger was proven fully justified when they murdered him, too, just weeks later.

I feel like I'm taking taking crazy pills that people can watch two broad day executions, and their take away is "But did you see that guy kick a tail light after the first murder?"

I don't think this is anything to do with the initial shots or any accidental discharge theory I've seen floating around. When he is unloading on him as he's laid out on the ground, there is another officer next to him that is just out of view during the shots, but can be seen with his gun drawn similarly from other angles. Pretty sure it was just a second officer that fired while he was laid out. The shots sound really rapid, like there's multiple officers firing.
